Yes, or at least I try to. I quite often forget to bring them into the supermarket, especially for only a few items. When I do that, I usually take the couple of items in my hands and wave the sales slip at the security guy on the door. But I do make an effort to use the recyclable ones.

No, because they are too heavy for me to lift in and out of my cart. I do re use the plastic bags and none are thrown away. I have in the past taken in my blue bags with the zipper on them and they are just way too much for me to lift.

I do try, I have them in the car, and will send the grandson back out to the parking lot to get them if I forget. The store used to give $0.05 per bag off the bill when using them. With cutbacks, they no longer do that. In fact, when I ask for paper bags, they practically have to go into the safe to get them!! Said the cost of paper bags has skyrocketed (if that's a word). I use the paper bags to store the newspapers I use to cover the pathways in the garden and for weed suppression. I recycle the plastic as garbage can liners and when we go on walks with the dogs. I recycle all the plastic we use in the house, as well as glass and metal. Happy Earth Day everyone. I remember celebrating the FIRST Earth Day when I was in college. It was a really big deal.

I do use my cloth bags when I can remember to take them into the grocery store with us, but we also have the groceries put in the plastic bags, which we use when we clean the kitty litter boxes, so we are recycling those. I request "paper bags" for some groceries, which I then use in crafting.

For groceries I have several canvas bags. I prefer them all the way around. The hold more and sit up right in the back of the van. But I don't take them with me to other stores.

Yes - but the challenge is remembering to take them from the car into the store! I have also found that they come in handy for carrying other things around as well. And... they're cheap!

Yes! Always. And as soon as we empty the contents in the house, the bags are immediately taken back to the car or at the very least hung on the door handle so that we don't forget to take them with us to the car the next time we go through the door.

In some of the discount grocers, they put empty cardboard boxes out to carry purchases home and I often use them. I like to get trays in gardening season, as it makes it easy to carry garden produce to church.
