No, but then again, I have been to very few movies in my lifetime.

No, not that I recall.

I've never been a regular movie goer either, but when I go, I choose movies I know wouldn't cause me to leave.

Saxophone, while in High School, begun shortly after our move to the Prairies. It was left in Korea, when we expected to return ... and, due to need for extended care for our son's eyes, we didn't. But I hadn't done much with it, for some time ... or maybe we'd have asked for it to be shipped back, with some of our other stuff (much of it stayed: not worthwhile to ship). It seems to me that some of you folks should get back to those old loves - whadda ya think? You could make beautiful music ... at a gathering of KT folks, for instance. Music brings joy to people's lives - and canned music isn't quite the same. How often do we get together for a good old-fashioned sing-song ... or is such a substantial part of our (non-youthful) social gatherings? Except in church. And, as for the youth and their music, most of it is mainly listening, not participating (as far as singing goes, though they usually do participate in terms of movement). Q: Snowball fights, hot cocoa by the fire, and sleigh rides... What's your favorite thing about winter? As Carol pretty much said, the last day of it! :-) Every year I like winter less and less. Cold, commuting, shoveling to get out on time, messy, dark and dreary, etc. Don't mean to be a grouch, but I am planning on moving to a more temperate climate when I retire.

2 tickets to Riverdance $80/each New "gentleman" shoes $24 Dinner for two (one off the child's menu) $25 My best date ever with DS#1 when he was 5: priceless! When DS#1 was 5 he happened to catch Riverdance on PBS and came running to tell me we could get tickets to go see it at the theatre near us and the date... "And you can use your mastercard!" LOL He was so excited, watched it over and over, taped quarters to his shoes to dance on the tile! So I ordered tickets to the show that was to be 6 months later, hoping he would not lose interest in that time (half expecting he would and I'd have to take a friend). He drew and wrote about it in his kindergarten journal for months. When the time came, he was just as excited as the first day. Just the two of us (DH stayed home with DS#2) went to dinner and the theatre, all dressed up. It was so late for him, but he sat on the edge of his seat the whole time. He was perfectly behaved (thanks to gentleman shoes- another story). We bought the CD and listened to it for months. When we got in the car to go home, I turned around and said to him "That was my best date ever!" He just beamed. The next school day, he drew the whole scene in his K journal, down to the exact spot in the theatre where we sat! Too cute! You bet I still have that journal!

Off with the coat, hang the purse on the handy hook DH made for me, put away whatever I've brought home, think about what to do for supper, sit down and think about it some more. Eventually do something about it.

No. I'm not a big movie goer either, although we watched a huge number of movies on DVD at home last winter. I have returned DVD movies without watching the whole thing a few times.

Yes, the last movie we attended in a theater was Forrest Gump, and despite all the hype and rave reviews, we found it boring and sophomoric, and left about half-way through. We have movies we watch at home, purchased not rented, and we enjoy those to the very end.

No, not yet. But I do take ear plugs to the movies. Most times, they are way to loud.

Yes, I walked out on Endless Love, we thought it was horrible. And at home, we turn off movies all the time, we call it "bailing out". Life's too short to watch lousy movies!

I walked out of a play once, too.

Yes, on WallE. DGS and I went and neither one of us was interested enough to stay any longer after a little over an hour.

Yes, I don't remember the movie though. We walked out of a live show once too. It was DH's birthday and I had talked him into seeing this Ozark/Hillbilly show... he was not impressed.

Yes, we went to see The Buddy Holly Stoey (with Gary Busey) but the sound was horrible-a loud low buzz was all we could hear. We came to hear the music-so we walked out to the ticket booth, got our money back, and left!

I have, however, turned off movies that I've rented either on DVD or tape.

Yes, when I was a lot younger. My cousin and I went to see a movie called "Face of Fire" and lasted 5 minutes - it was scary! I don't do scary - I've got better things to do with my money than pay to have the p**p scared out of me.

Once years ago, "My Launderette", I think it was called. My friend wanted to go because the critics had given it such a high rating, it was awful.

Yes a couple of times. I don't recall the names of them but they were both boring and the language was so bad we left.

Don't go to many ... as someone said, when I go, it's usually an occasion, a special one.

I don't recall having walked out - partly due to being cheap, I think: I paid for it, I plan to see the whole thing!

I haven't had the equipment to watch at home ... but think that I may have on the new computer.
