HELP: Removing Toilet To Paint Wall

Day 1 I stared asking DH for help removing the toilet.

It took me 5 days and 3 bottles of DIF to remove wallpaper from a small guest bathroom (the walls were not prepared before papering). Day 6, I cleaned the walls. Day 7 I patched, sanded, cleaned again, primed the walls...all except behind the toilet.

There has been amply time to remove the toilet on one's own schedule however, the toilet is still in place. I am ready to paint but still have to remove paper and prime behind the toilet.

Question: I am somewhat handy but have never removed and installed a toilet. Is it your opinion that this is a job that a layperson could do without bring desaster to the home? BTW: I have the wax ring and tools.
