Morning Kt! Got to work today, going to be in the 80s!!! Didn't get a lot of sleep last night, kids left for the ex's at midnight.

What do you have planned for today? Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, Kath. Today, I am either going to go for a walk, or I'm going on the treadmill. I would prefer a walk, but I have a lot of angry clients right now and I don't want any following me home. Since I live in a small town, that's a distinct possibility.

I'm also going to work in the greenhouse and in the garden. I'm making dinner tonight, and baking a pie I popped in the freezer yesterday, but I don't know who's coming yet.

Why did your kids leave fr their dad's so late?

Good morning Kathleen. Have a nice day at work. I will be going to the last mass at our church. It is being closed, along with another in town, taking us from 5 to 3. Sad. Have ribs thawing to put on the smoker this afternoon.

I had egg salad for my breakfast too. j Just a half sandwich. I was in a rush to get out the door to go ride. Passed the 90 mile mark in the virtual race today today! 10 more left. So proud of my school horse. We're sad it's coming to an end.

I mowed - again - today, I had just mowed last Thursday but the grass was so high already. Normally I don't like a "sheared" lawn, but I set the deck too low on my mower and didn't realize it. Since it would look weird to do the rest on a higher setting I continued. Golf course like lawns make me uncomfortable! lol Besides all the little wild flowers got their heads chopped off. Maybe I won't have to mow for awhile now though it being so short. There are so many violets and other wild flowers in the orchard that I have a hard time mowing them, so I leave small patches here and there. The ground itself is still very damp. Sometimes when I sit on a chair at my small table down there, a chair leg or two will sink right into the soil sending me backwards. I've learned to be quick to jump off! I think I will plant ever bearing strawberries in my mailbox cover this year just for something different. They will have a white bloom and hopefully have berries most of the summer. At least that's what I envision, will see if it works out.

Today will just as boring as any other, just kidding boring is ok. I will spend the day reading and straightening the house. I will spend the next few days preparing for my trip to Chi Town. Looking forward to going there.

I'm dressed and ready for church. We'll go out to eat after and then we have to go to the Doggie Bed and something to get DD#1's dogs. Later in the afternoon we'll go to the airport to pick them up. They've been in Cal. looking at Pepperdine Un. for DGD#2 and she did decide to go there. Who could turn down Malibu? She has an uncle in San Francisco and other than that, knows no one. Geez!!

Good morning Kath. I never made it to church this morning. Instead, I trimmed the grass around several trees in my yard, drank a pot of coffee and finished the book I was reading. Yesterday I mowed half of the yard and today I'll finish it. We have a large area to mow! It was my first time to mow in over 2 years and I enjoyed it. The yard is looking pretty good too. :o)

After the yard work I want to start a new book.

Hi, all! Glad that you were feeling up to mowing the yard, MaryAnn. Isn't it funny - when you haven't felt like doing chores and finally get to- you've got a whole different feeling about them!?

I slept in, showered and then went to my flea market booth. Can't tell that I've sold ONE THING since Friday! I tell ya what, some people have NO taste!! LOL

Twinkie and I are working on our second pitcher of iced tea today. Bet we don't sleep for anything, but the tea sure is good! LOL

Kath, hate that you had to work on such a beautiful day. At least it is here! They're calling for rain about four days next week.

Gosh Maryanne. If you run out of things to do at your house come over and help me. You energy level far exceeds mine!

Windy, cold and snowy this morning.
I have a photo shoot this afternoon that was suppose to be outdoors but will have to move it indoors. I much prefer to shoot in natural light but blowing snow doesn't make such a great background and people have a hard time smiling pretty when they are shaking with cold.

I've spent most of the day taking phone calls and showing puppies. Only threeof Holly's puppies remain. They are so stinkin' cute! They will be five weeks tomorrow. I started them on puppy chow. Mostly they walk through it but are starting to mouth the food. They are very vocal too. When you speak to them all but one will run to you except on little female. She will sit back on her rear end, throw her head back and howl. I call her Stevie Nicks. LOL
This week I will list Gabby's puppies online.
Holly's puppies have been listed for only two days.

Gabby's puppies are four weeks old and very very vocal.
They are eating really well.
If you show up to visit and go out to the barn, watch your step. There are little, sticky puppy surprises everywhere. Gabby's puppies are in the saddle room and Holly's in one of the stalls.

I have a roast and some ribs in the oven for dinner.
Custer will be working until dark thirty which will work out just fine. The meat won't be done until then.

Digger didn't come home from Logan this weekend.
The stinker.
She only comes home when she needs money.
I told her to get a job....LOL

Jesse is at a barrel race in Ogden.
She really enjoys them and her horses are running very well. I don't go very much with her. Today is a big race and there is just too much estrogen in one place for me.

Susan, their father gets off work at 11:30 pm.

Vannie, we are going to have to start looking at universities for Alex soon too. I'm not really looking forward to it, especially after looking at the cost of some of them. Yikes!

Maryann, glad you felt up to mowing today. What book did you start reading?

Des Arc, it was a beautiful day, in the 80s! Came home to a very warm dog unfortunately because I didn't think to turn the air conditioning on. It's on now, more for Luther than for me, I'm kinda chilly now.

Work was nice and slow today, we all needed a few nice, quiet days for a change. ( :
