Houston Get Together with pictures

Rain and all the gals came from all over to meet with MaryAnn and I at Los Cucos Restaurant. The restaurant put us in the back room...they must have taken one look at Gayle and knew that her friends would be making lots of noise and bothering other customers. We got to the room and there sat Gayle patiently waiting for everyone. She bounded up and gave hugs to MaryAnn and I. She had already ordered a bottle of wine and had big bowls of chips and salsas on the table.

Pretty soon along came Zbrat with her beautiful smile and cherry chatter. She will brighten any room and is just as sweet as she can be. We all hugged and then started gabbing away. I called Marilyn to check to see if she was near and she was just getting into the parking lot. I was so excited that the time had finally arrived when I would get to meet her. She came towards us and she WAS just as pretty as I had always thought she would be.

Poor Marilyn grinned and bared all the hugs, which I know she hates, and never once flinched. I know I gave her lots of hugs over the course of the afternoon. For someone that really didn't want her picture taken she was the star of the afternoon.

Adam, who is a friend of Marilyns and helps with feeding the animals, said that Marilyn told him four days ago that she was bringing him to meet a bunch of ladies from a forum. He said he was scared and worried over it for days. I wonder what he thought we were going to do to him. He was very nice and laughed and enjoyed the afternoon along with the rest of us. I had to laugh when he said as long as he has known Marilyn this was the first time he had ever seen her with earrings and makeup on. We all got a kick out of that one.

Marilyn tried her darndest to find him a home with one of us to no avail. He really was nice and I hope if we ever get back in that area again we get a chance to meet him again.

This was a fun and relaxing get together thanks to all of Susans hard work. My DH thinks it's great that I've met a group of people that have something in common with me, food and kitchens ;-) Susan, your home and hospitality are going to be hard to match when we get together at my place. The food you prepared for us was to die for!! But most importantly the fellowship was the best. It was so nice to meet Lena, Yaksha and Susan for the first time. I've met May and Denise at a get together in Houston at May's home before. It felt like I've known you all for a long time. Thank you again Susan for a wonderful get together and the opening up of an opporunity to meet new friends!

Thanks for posting the pix Karen! It was great, as always, getting together with old friends and new. Yes, Annie, we did nothing but eat and talk. And laugh of course. What could be better than that? The food was delicious and the company delightful. And a good time was had by all. I'm looking forward to the next get together in San Antonio when Sharon and Clive breeze through. What fun!!!

I bumped the other thread again. I know we need to make some decisions. I am happy to make the reservations again but need to know when and what kind of food or if Peli Peli is good again. I am happy to do it even if it should turn out I can not go but I am hopeful I can get him to get off work early if we do Monday.

Yep, I left already. We didn't think of taking pictures at first. The restaurant closed at 9pm and we were hurridly leaving so the workers could go home too. It was a good thing that at least some photos was taken later on. Hee-hee-hee... Ravencajun and I sort of took over half of the table. You see, we're both in wheelchairs :) We were seated in a reserved room. So, we could be as rowdy as we wanted to, and we were! LOL, The waiter had to keep the door close so we wouldn't frighten other customers away :] It was a great gathering and wonderful to see the real KTrs (^_^)

Those are great pictures.You ALL are just beautiful,even Adam.Thanks Nita for a great story.I am glad to get to see what MarilynC looks like.Isn't she the one that has posseums.Her and my husband would get alone great because he them.
Thanks also for sharing the pictures too.Nita you are the best to travel to go and meet everyone.

That's one good thing about Nita not able to sleep! Anyone else realize the time frame, for when she posted the pictures? :)

Aw, you all look great! Marilyn, you look so much like our friend Collette, it's uncanny. She, too, is a beautiful lady with a kind heart and great sense of humor.

Great to see you all and know that you had a wonderful time. I spy a margarita! Good girls, good girls! lol

I thought she was a Brunette too! When she describe herself I was surprised she was a blonde. She has a Blue Mustang now.

Wow,Gayle is certainly a beautiful looking gal

Marilyn still looks every bit as good & beautiful as a pic I seen of her a long while ago.
