Yes, I used to take it years ago. I liked the little recipes in it and the embroidery transfers. I don't know of another magazine like it. Maybe someone else does.

You can sometimes find copies of the "Work Basket" on eBay or Etsy.

(I don't sell anything on either site; I just "shop" a lot!)

I remember it too..always had nice crochet patterns as well as planting ideas, etc

Thanks everyone! I know I can buy old ones on ebay,but I wanted to get her a subscription to a new magazine if there was one.Think I might get her one for the "Grit",it's still around,I think,and she always enjoyed that one also.

I haven't thought of this one in a while!
My Mama has tons of them, got them everytime a new one came out. Oh the "stuff" she made for me while growing up from the patterns. I will have to look and see where they all are when I go over later....LOL

I subscribed many years ago. I know it's no longer in print. I think Vogue magazine put out a collection book of some of WB old patterns. Saw the book on Amazon but I'm too cheap to pay for it. I have plenty of knitting projects. And I can't crochet. I know I saved my old WBs. Now where did I put them? Maybe I can sell them on Ebay. I once found a Womans day from 1983 in my attic. Obviously some great recipe or craft idea in there!

I have Workbaskets dating back to the 1950's. It was a wonderful little digest. A little of this, a little of that. Alas, it is no more. And most of the others like it are gone, too. I used to subscribe to Crochet Digest, Hooked on Crochet, Annie's Crochet........... all gone. About the only thing close to it is Crochet World. She may be interested in that one.

I remember it CR. My aunt used to subscribe to it and she would give then to me later. I loved the crochet patterns, etc. I don't know of any other magazine to take its place.
