A dog is truly a man's best friend.

If you don't believe it, just try this experiment.

Put your dog and your wife in the trunk of the car for an hour.

When you open the trunk, which one is really happy to see you?

My little 5 yr old son put us in our place (a long time ago). This joyful package of life came bounding toward us one day and remarked, "I know why there are 2 parents!" My wife and I shot glances toward eash other and we read on each other face. So soon? We'd hoped this sort of conversation would come later. My wife replied, "No. Tell us why." He replied, "Its because when I am hungry and one of you is busy, the other one can feed me!" That explained it. Thanks for little boys and their logic. It put us in our place and taught us a lesson: Get the full story before answering - don't make asumptions.

If you’re getting spammy email from HOUZZ, it’s likely because you have some email settings turned on. Go to “edit profile”, choose “privacy settings” from the list on the left, then choose “manage your email settings”. UN-check ALL the boxes under Email Subscriptions. Then click “update” at the bottom of the page. You may also want to review other options under privacy settings while you’re at it. I turned off 98% of the options, to prevent junk like this.

I'm very frugal - seldom ever use paper towels. I grew up with rags...I have them neatly stacked in many rooms, when needed they take a swim in the laundry.
Mine are old towels. Tshirts are for hubby's workshop. LOL

You're up early too. I couldn't sleep, so I'm posting, reading news and planting more seedlings!

... would hop up into the front alonside of me, looking for attention, as I travelled.

No wife - she left, years ago.

As I had to change the subject line on my second message above, to enable it to go forth, it got truncated (ole joyful was too long-winded, again).

The complete line was, "Re: a funny email I got....", quoted,
then I added, "and passed on (but didn't pass on, myself - yet)".

May I suggest that, as a series of dots usually are meant to more or less replace a word in a sentence, and we leave a space between words, I've heard that we should leave a space before we begin the dots, and leave another before we start the next word.

I think that I've heard that it's good usage to use three dots, as well.

I could be wrong, in that regard.

Maybe I'd better go looking for a wife ... needing a licensed driver to ride with me in order to enter the road, these days, is a real restriction.

I knew that there must be a good reason to have a wife ...
... no, not "have" as in possession of something, but, " ... be associated with ...", as in, related to an equal.

May joy be the keynote of this day for ((((you and yours)))).

I bet you really feel trapped, Ole Joyful, by being limited to when you can drive off. Pretty frustrating, I think, after being able to come and go as you pleased for a lot of years.

All our snow doesn't help either. We couldn't even get out the back door.
