Window trim questions; rosettes and casing sizes

I've almost decided on the trim for the office, sewing room, and bedroom. I have one more choice to make.

We're putting fluted casings around the windows and doors. The windows will have bull's eye rosettes in the corners; the doors will have rosettes on top and plinths at the base.

From the photos I've seen, the rosettes/plinths are usually a bit wider than the casings. How much wider?

I'm planning to use 3 1/4-wide fluted casings. Would 3 3/4-inch wide rosettes/plinths be wide enough, or should they be wider?

What widths would you choose? The baseboards will be 5 1/2-in. tall with 6 1/2-in. corner blocks. The crown molding is 3 1/4-inches wide. Do these dimensions sound "normal"? The rooms are small; sewing room 12x12, office 12x11, and bedroom 11x14.

All the trim will be painted "Butter White."
