Looking in the bathroom mirror, after brushing my teeth.

Saying YOU ARE an ole lady!

Said to self: but you have a good outlook on life, you are happy with what you do, active.

So why feel sorry for youself.

Right or wrong?

Hey, Leslie, I said to myself: This is going to be the summer of ugly legs for you, and it will only get worse with aging. So, wear your shorts and capris, stay active, and smile!
( I have a blood disorder that is now turning my legs from mid-calf down a blotchy brown/red. Yuck!)

Well I'm flattered you'd ask but I'm better with visual aids! ...and would surely defer to Tropic's expert advice since I can only imagine a jungle. The plants sure are in close quarters in them, from what one sees in pics. Trying to duplicate that in pots may not necessarily be a great idea, you know I'm just flying by the seat of my pants (since you're stolen my dress!) but it makes perfect sense to me, we'll see... Maybe you could add a pic of the double pot next to the Philo in question that you're considering adding to it? We've seen the double, but next to each other would leave no question about size/scale. For a stake, I'd try to find something metal (for free, repurposed, that's how I roll...) If the plants get meshed together, aerial roots attached to stake, you probably aren't going to want to mess with that to repot. (And of course you will be repotting in the future, of course the plants will do GREAT!) And BTW, you look fantastic in heels! I'd keep dressing up if I were you.

All, I was just pointing out a modicum of truth to the cartoon--which made it funny to myself and a friend. The same friend directed me to this forum about a year ago by saying, "you have to check out this website. These people are fanatical about ranges." He went on, "especially the Ã¢ÂÂbattleÃ¢ÂÂ between the Blue Star and the Capital Culinarian." So I've been reading for quite some time. My interest is from the standpoint of the release of a new cooking product and how the initial rollout is received by the business, or on the residential side in this case, the people. As I've stated, I don't own one so only could make comments derived from the following posts (which I did not write) which are titled: "culinarian oven racks are disappointing" and Ã¢ÂÂwok use on the culinarian wok grate observationÃ¢ÂÂ Does anyone know if the rolling racks are the same in a self-clean oven and a manual clean oven? Is the issue with the racks caused by a self-clean cycle? Best, Lew

That's great, slow! Very cool. Curb.....I know what you're saying - loving this forum cause it helps to know you're not the ONLY one that gets so carried away with these things that we love so much! I, too, love tools. My workshop would make a lot of MEN envious. And SLOW...., I always thought I got carried away with too many things that I wanted to do.....until getting to know you here on the forum - you far surpass ME!! HA! It's great! Like so many people here say....so much we want to do, and not enough time to do it ALL.

Thanks for asking. There was a suspicious person that was walking in our parking lot, THEN, he crossed over to my side, as I was sitting out on the porch. He walked down the steps of the building next to me, hopped over the railing and went towards the woods and behind the building, and then headed back up by the side of my building. I ran inside and call the sheriff's dept, as neighbor came down, who heard the rustling in the leaves, to see what was up, saw me, and followed the suspicious person, and then he disappeared between two other buildings. Officer stayed 30 minutes with his flashlight wandering around, but did not find the suspicious person. Said he will or have someone patrol the area for couple nites just in case. We've had a homeless person, won't go into details, that has been around here, and always manages to get away when the law enforcement appears. I was afraid that was him, again, as he fit the description. I knew he did not belong to the condos next to me, as where he went was a new young college student, who had just moved in and I KNEW he was not there to see her. He did walk around on her porch, I watched, and didn't bother to go to her door, and then he jumped over the railing. Area where I live, the officer said, is usually quiet and they rarely get calls for disturbances, etc. Last nite, it was quiet, and NO SEE. BTW, my IP is my interpretation of ImPortant for numbers to call for emergencies.

frazoo...my legs have looked like that for a long time...

I wear compression socks...do you?...

I've been wearing them for about 4 years now...they seem to keep my legs from getting worse.

Pain in the butt sometimes...but they stop the pain and burning in my legs.

Mine are quite expensive but I have good insurance and they buy me 4 pair a year.

Pattico...no I don't. It hasn't been suggested and I never thought of it. I don't have pain, but I've noticed some burning in the mornings. Hmmmm, I'll pay closer attention now.

Attitude is everything. A lot of stuff just doesn't matter. I keep reminding myself of this in light of this recession we're in, b/c if I let myself I'd sit down and cry over the $$$ we've lost in the stock market, but I have 3 children and they have spouses (that makes 6) and they have children (10) and they're all healthy and productive and I can't ask for more than that. We know people really dealing w/ bad health and serious problems w/ their children and people who don't have grands, and I wonder why I'm so blessed. The important things in life aren't things. So, I try to forget the $$$$$ and thank God for the good life I have.

Getting old ain't for sissies, as the saying goes, but just consider the alternative. I don't consider myself old by any stretch (I'll be 61 next month) and I'm sure that I could find lots to complain about if I let myself. But when I compare my life to that of others I know, then I consider every day a blessing!
