My snow is receding and I can see some green plants along the edge of my garden!!!!!!! Still have snowbanks but they are now meeting their match. Even got out the back door today!!! We're at 6'C or 41'F and sunny. I have windows open to air the house out! Even my seedlings are happy. Almost able to get the gate open to the back yard. Still lots of snow but spring temperatures are finally pushing throw. Milkdud I could sure use some of your weather to find my garden beds! Yeah Patti, it's been slow on this board - yesterday was also a lovely day in Ottawa, my Dave suggested a nice afternoon car ride to soak up the sun and do some shopping. He got a new 3 horsepower air compressor. No more junky workshop tools, I have too many page tips folded over in his woodworking magazines!!! (He'll see them eventually). This summer he is finishing my kitchen cabinets to complete our cabinet reno. Last summer he built a pull out drawer pantry which I just love. I should be painting this afternoon - more walls but I feel like cleaning and sorting - at either rate I'll be doing something to keep moving. Got another very kind comment from a friend that I'm looking slimmer. My scales are still holding but that is just fine with me. I'll take every teaspoon a week at a time of weight loss if that's what my body wants to do. Slow and steady as they say. Also considering going through more seed packets. Now that the sun is getting stronger I can start using the back windowsills. Forgive all my garden talk - it motivates me to stay the course because I want to lose the weight so I can garden without my hip grinding. I'm also scheduled to help plant spring gardens at hotels and businesses downtown with a friend and that is grueling - 8 hour days of bending, digging and hauling plants...so more incentive to tone up. If I don't post some days - please know I'm here in spirit! Have a fantastic day today! Milkdud, I'm glad to hear your little one is on the mend.

Lynn~I want to meet up with you too. I cannot stress how much I would like that. Was it a "purrrrrrr-fect" day? I hope so. Thanks for all the well wishes & prayers. I talked again to Tikanis yesterday as well as IMing with Jen. Both are doing well. I think that Jen just has a pretty heavy load with the girls. I've let my little Sis know that I'm here for her & knowing that I've gone through the same thing two times before, hopefully, will help her through. I'm not saying anything ugly to her about her husband. I'm just telling her to be certain to stand up for herself & be sure to get what is rightfully hers. TX is a good state to be in for that. She said tonight that she knows that she will be better off & happier but it is really hard right now b/c she is so angry with him. I understand that anger. She does have the support of all of her family except for her oldest daughter. I know that part is killing her. She also went back to the dr. today & her neck still hasn't fused from back in early February. After 8 years, it certainly has been a comfort to me to know that I can always come here & talk to my friends & sisters. I've told everybody what a special group that I have here. I don't tell them where I post though. LOL This is my place to be friends with each of you. My goal eventually would be to meet each one of you in person. Dave has his 30th class reunion this year & we had planned on going up the east coast but we probably won't now b/c we have planned to go to his parents 50th wedding anniversary in TX & back to TX to spend Christmas with the DSs & DGD. (DarlingGD!) LOL I wish that you had been able to see her picture. Be good to yourselves b/c you are worth it. Patti :)

Good Morning Everyone! This is the first day that I have had to sit at my computer. Nobody is home and it is a little on the cold side and overcast, so I am not feeling too guilty about being indoors, although it is a great day for gardening! I have been so busy these last few weeks. DS & DIL were here last weekend for an extra long weekend. It was great and once again, I hated to say goodbye. We will be taking a trip to VA sometime this summer. :-) Yesterday was younger DS Confirmation. We had a little party here afterwards and my Mom stayed over so it was a little busy. I am so happy that CCD is over for him. For those of you that are Catholic, I know that you can relate to this. Patti, I hope that you are on the mend. I think that now that you have the "Official American Idol" clapper, you definitely are the "Official American Idol Queen"! Speaking of Queens, my mom and I watched the movie Queen last night. Did anyone else see it? We both slept through part of it. I think it was well done, but she is such a bore she put me right to sleep! I am going to try and rewatch some of it tonight. Amy, good to see you post. I rented "The Secret" from the library and never got to watch it so I put my name back on the reserve list. What do you think of it? My great niece (my sisters granddaughter) horse just qualified for a show in KY. I think she is going. She is only 10! I have been thinking of you lately because we have these 2 beautiful swans that come back in live in our pond every year. Every year that have a litter, batch, clutch, whatever you call it, of babies. Every year a few get killed, mamed or whatever awful fate takes them, but this year has been the saddest. They started out with 7 babies and now are down to 1. I am so sad for them. I don't know what got them. DH thinks either a snapping turtle, coyote or fox. It breaks my heart. How are you healing? What a terrible ordeal for you. I'm very happy that it was not more serious. Hi Lynn! I have the Pfaltzgraff Folk Art pattern that I am going to start selling on eBay. I still love them, but don't use them since I started collecting Fiestaware. I am sure you are enjoying the rain in FL. Raeanne, thinking of you today being at work. I hope that the weather is bad, LOL. Speaking of bad weather, there were some terrible storms that went through here last night. We were not affected, but my sister had a tornado (A TORNADO, not too common in Massachusetts) touch down 6 houses away from her. I don't think any real serious damage other that trees and decks, but serious enough. Alot of people have horses in her neighborhood, so I have not heard anything about that yet. She is so fortunate that it didn't hit her property as she has several of her own horses, and boards many others. Dee, we are going to plant some veggies this afternoon. DH is out fishing right now, and probably freezing! I think I will make an announcement to all the critters around that we have a grill right on the back deck, and know how to use it!!! Never fails, whenever I stop going to WW, I bump into my leader and she lures me right back. It is nice that she offers that service. LOL

Nope, it can't be between Syesha and anybody. Poor girl has barely made it through for an entire month. I'm betting she's the next to go. Also think her breakdown Tuesday was reaction to the pressure, her lukewarm responses, and ridiculous judges' criticisms. She's probably wondering why people dislike her, being every bit as good a singer as anyone and better than some, yet always ending up on the chopping block. Most people aren't fair in their judgment of her. While they will say they don't like David C.'s style of music, they concede he is "good," "the best," and all that. But, dislike Syesha's style, and she simply is not good - awful and sickening, in fact. Lopsided and unfair, and I commend her heart and sinew. She gets up there smiling and singing her heart out every week. It has to be incredibly difficult. I hope David A. doesn't win. David C. is a much bigger talent. Between the two of them, I think it goes beyond singing and more so overall talent. That's David C. all the way. I cannot believe the magnitude of his talent.
