Fiona. We just got her last weekend from a "No Kill Facility". I forgot how much I miss having a pet in the house...

Thanks for the comments on the "girls". They do match the decor.....but that was by accident. We had silver poodles previously....but they are harder to find in Texas, for some reason. Got these girls about a week after loosing our previous "child". Had to drive to a place east of Waco to get them, from a breeder there. They "played" all the way home, in the worst of rough-house way. Anyway, they hadn't done any real damage to one another, by the time I got them home, so that was ok. They stood together that way, because they naturally did that. They would go across the house, like they were joined at the hip. They don't like being separated at all. It is always a hassle to take them to the groomer or vet, because you can't take just one. Anyway.....they are our "kids". The good part, is they can go to the "country club" when we need a break from them, or have someplace to go where "kids" aren't permitted. They do pretty well there, and hardly miss us, until we get back. (Thank goodness for a really good kennel.) Rick

Linda, he's beautiful. Ashley adopted a German Shepherd too, his name was Rex. He gets called everything anyway, as my family is wont to do, mostly he gets called "Doofus". Buster, of course, has become the WonderDoodle. The WonderWeiner was Actually "Annie's Lucky in Love", his name was supposed to be "Lucky", but he became WeinerDog, then WeinerKing, then Wonderweiner. Cooper has become Noops, my neice called him "nooper" but I mostly call him "baby" I think you should name him whatever you want, although I also like Bullet, being a Roy Rogers/Trigger fan, LOL. He's beautiful and I'm happy for both of you. Ann T, I didn't know you'd gotten another dog after Stetson, I'm happy for you too and I didn't really think Karen would get another dog after Captain, but she did too. Glad to hear the good news. I totally get the heart-stopping feeling. When my now 4 1/2 year old twin grandsons were born at 36 weeks, one spent 1 week in the NICU then another week in the step-down unit. The other twin had blood and bilirubin issues and spent 2 weeks in the NICU, where they performed a total blood transfusion at 8 days old, then 2 weeks in the step-down and then we spent the next year running back and forth to hematologists and pulmonologists. yes, lily, he's a wirehaired dachshund. and boris was the brown miniature one. alfie slept in bed, with us, all night, mostly on his back, with his legs up in the air. he didn't want to come down the stairs, by himself, but jim took the leash up and put him on it, then he walked down the stairs, with jim, like nobody's business. he's just wonderful. for as young as he is, he acts like a wise little old man, sometimes. lol ;) i wish more people would adopt, from shelters, there are so many amazing dogs just waiting to find a forever home.

She is beautiful. She has similar markings to my little kitten, Peggy Sue, except Peggy has short hair. How wonderful that you rescued Fiona from a shelter. I have four shelter animals.

She is beautiful.I love Calicos.I have a short haired Calico with similar markings.She has a little more white that Fiona.What color are her eyes? My Miss Patches has copper colored eyes.

Fiona reminds me of Cookie who I'd decided was going to be our second cat (we brought home Max instead, nobody wanted him). Cookie was renamed Patches by the family who adopted her :-)

I used to have a long haired calico. Her name was Patches. Your Fiona is really pretty. Cute name too.

Here are a few better ones. I was hard to get her to sit still the first few days, long enough to get some good photos. She was too busy checking out her new digs!
She is a VERY lovable cat. Makes DH and I wonder what took us so long to get a new cat! Neither of us realized till we got her how much we've missed having a cat.

Someone asked about the color of her eyes. Sometimes they look green and other times they look copper. Guess it depends on the light.

If you've had her over two days, she must think she is 'boss' by now!! LOL!! A house to call her own and servants too!! Now that's regal!!!! LOL!!

Beautiful, I love calicos. I have one too, only her hair is short. She has a red "L" on her face. I should have named her LaVerne. My kids named her Whisper and it stuck.
