You Know the Joke....

if you take your Christmas lights down in January whatever will you do on Easter Sunday?

*snort*

Guess who took a few of her Christmas lights down today?

That's right folks.

Me.

First I had to clean the big front deck of snow and six inches of ice to remove two strings. The second string of lights, I'm afraid, is a goner, as part of it is still buried in ice (six inches) from where it fell off during a wind storm.

The small back deck has two strings down but two still remain. You got it. Parts of it blew down and is buried in ice.

Lights on the fences?

Ha!

Forget it!

The snow is as deep as my knees and drifted higher in places. Perhaps next month I will take them down?

*sigh*

I rarely say this, but, I am sick of winter!

There's nothing pretty about snow this late in the year.

It's has settled and is no longer white and pristine; rather dirty and grey. In some places the the snow is melted but left mud up to you ankles and it's slick 'cause the frost is still in the ground.

I got a gurney's catalog yesterday and I can't bring myself to look at it. Torture. That's all it would be. Pure torture....
