Funny you mention this. Today I did some cleaning and purging of the kitchen, the fridge and the greenhouse. I have plans to continue tomorrow.

I'm not currently motivated to clean. I really get into projects. Right now I'm working on organizing, building shelves and food storage. As long as I'm doing something, I'm good.

I can't see any chance in the near or distant future being in a house cleaning frenzy. Never have, never will, but I envy that you are. It exhausts me just thinking about it.

I've been on a little frenzy lately and I truly need to be. lol So much I need to get rid of. We laugh all the time about when my husband and I are gone, my poor son will probably just back up a pick up truck under the attic and he'll just shovel it all out.
I'm not getting any younger and feel that I might as well go ahead and get rid of stuff now and save him the trouble.

But to be honest, I have been decluttering somewhat, lately. It's fun, if I get to it before it gets too hot. I just wish we had some sunshine here to put me in the mood. Then I guess I'd rather be outside in the garden. That should count as part of the house, right????

Well, there was a time when I was able to be in a cleaning frenzy, but now it is more like a cleaning creep. I can't stay at it or lift like I once could. If I do, then I end up in bed unable to walk because of my back, but yes, I do try but it takes a good while longer. I love a clean house. When I was still at home, my Mother would really clean with my sister and my help. One room at a time, everything would come out of the house and the walls and floor cleaned and then carpet and furniture and everything was cleaned outside and lugged back in. No wonder I have a bad back!

I somtimes get the urge to clean, and sit and ponder it and have a drink and the urge goes away.
Lol, yes, I need to get busy. Just got one of those steam mops yesterday and it works great, so got the kitchen floor all done.

I keep waiting for the dust fairies to come and clean but it seems they are delayed at someone else's house!

Oh my, maybe I should have explained it better. I'm not usually this energetic about purging. I'm very organized but I tend to hold on to things thinking that they might have a future use. And as long as I had space to store things, that's what I did. So this was a long overdue frenzy!

Our contractor just finished gutting and remodeling a bathroom and the basement and the newly redone rooms look so fresh and updated that it's given me the incentive to tackle the rest of the home. And since my energy tends to evaporate as the temperature and humidity increase I know I need to finish before July arrives and I wimp out.

You must have been peeking in my window yesterday -- I got into a cleaning frenzy as you put it and got right on the computer and read through the fly lady's complete website.

Now I am working at trying to forget what I read and go back to reading my most recent mystery book...IF I can find it, that is!

Not quite as energetic as you but yes I have started.Cleaning out closets going through different rooms and organizing etc. Today is a really wonderful day to hang out laundry so I cleaned off the line...did all the bedding and hung it all out. Unfortunately when I reached into the bag for the clothespins a squirrel had decided it was a hiding place for his nuts!! So I "spring cleaned" his area too!!
Those sheets will smell so wonderful tonight!

Last weekend I did a thorough cleaning of the kitchen/dining area, living room, two bedrooms and my office including mopping and cob web removal. Today I'm working on closets. I finished my bedroom closet and am now working on the one my living room, which holds tons of yarn and fabric pieces. I decided to take a break just now and see what's up here. I'm kind of stymied with the fabric pieces. I very rarely need something like that but they are too good to throw away.

Not me!! I'm staying right here.

Apparently my husband is in a cleaning mood too. I can hear him out in the back, vacuuming the greenhouse.. LOL!

I cleaned out our "junk drawer", does that count? I envy your energy and organization abilities, I so need to go thru and purge, purge, purge, but my energy level is -0.

Every year I get the urge to Spring Clean, but if I wait long enough summer comes along.

I would love to say "I have a girl" but in truth I have a "guy". LOL I clean as I go and my guy comes in to vacuum and do the hard floors. I tried the upper floors being cleaned but couldn't stand their chemicals. I may have him clean the whole upstairs once a year.

I've cleaned one closet and one cabinet. Does that count?
LOL. I need to get moving on the cleaning soon.

I get the urge to clean, then talk myself out of it (with a glass of zinfandel, of course).
I wish I could get into a cleaning frenzy, but, for some reason my fibromyalgia gets the best of me this time of year. But I DID manage to paint my smallest bedroom last week. That's a huge feat for me.

Nope, not on the schedule yet. Might not be for a few years. ;o) If we have company, especially ILs, I have to have a cleaning frenzy, and I have to get the whole family frenzied with me. But I think the ILs have decided to drive on by this year. Otherwise, I would be very frenzied this week, they drive "home" (from FL to OH) the first weeknd in April, so next weekend would be The Weekend.
