I have been on vacation for a few weeks and have to think when I wake up where I am so I know how you feel. Today I'm in south central Colorado near the town of Pagosa. Last week in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Before that, Montana, Yellowstone, and Wyoming. Last month I was in eastern British Columbia. My wife and I are headed home now with a quick stop off in northern Idaho to see my brother. I thought retired life was a time I could take it easy and putter around in the garden. My wife has other plans. I hope the house sitters are having a good time. If you look close you can see the house sitter's Pit Bull. Meg is deaf and very farsighted. (Crossed with a Dalmation. Who would let that happen?!) She's a good watchdog and a real sweetie once you get to know her. My friend calls her 'Nutmeg'. ;-) In keeping with the conifer theme, the trunk on the left is a 'Hinoki' that has had the lower branches removed in the interest of more room. Mike

The description according to the AHS website is an orchid rose self w/ yellow to green throat, and its also a double. I'm going to keep an eye on it, and may have to contact the vendor and email them my pic and see if at the very least they can identify it. Thanks for the advice. Dianna

Oh dear, LindaC, if it tastes too salty, I'd say it's bird food. Could you just use it for crumbs to coat chicken or in meatloaf or is this the bread with the fruit too? It must have been a bad bread night, I made a cornmeal/whole wheat loaf with jalapenos, corn, sweet peppers, onion and garlic. I put it on the stove to rise. Elery called. I knew it was over proofed and I should have knocked it down and let it rise again, but did I? Oh no, I didn't. I baked it. It fell. It tastes good, though.... Annie

Keep what you ordered. The contrast should look beautiful. I love dark wood floors, too, but IMHO, it's usually the contrast of white trim and other things against it that helps me appreciate the floors all the more. I think dark floors and a dark table may make each component feel less special on it's own.
