Looking for a recipe - Peanut Butter Fudge

I'm looking for a peanut butter fudge recipe using Reese's brand peanut butter. It also has evaporated milk, marshmallow cream or fluff and believe it or a tad of vinegar.

Sound familiar to anyone?

Well, mine has marshmallow cream, Reese's peanut butter chips, but no vinegar. My kids love it, and it's easy and pretty foolproof, as long as you cook to soft ball stage before adding the chips. I find that 5 minutes isn't long enough, I always end up cooking at least 7 minutes. I've made it using a cup of peanut butter instead of the chips and it is a bit softer, but still good.

FANTASY FUDGE
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup real butter
2/3 cup evaporated milk
12 oz. Chocolate chips
7 oz. Jar marshmallow cream
1 cup chopped nuts-optional
1 tsp vanilla

Bring sugar, butter and milk to a rolling boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. (I test it at this point to make sure it has reached soft ball stage, sometimes it takes longer, especially if I make a double batch).

Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients until chips are melted and fudge is smooth. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan, let cool to room temperature and cut into slices.

VARIATIONS:

Peanut butter fudge: Sub peanut butter chips for chocolate and omit nuts
Cookies and Cream: Sub white chips and stir in 1 cup crushed Oreos instead of nuts
Creamsicle Fudge: Sub white chips for chocolate, omit nuts, pour half of the fudge into pan. Stir 2 tsp orange extract, 4 drops yellow food coloring and 3 drops red food coloring into remaining fudge, pour orange fudge over plain fudge and marble in with knife.
Candy Cane fudge: Sub white chips, omit nuts and stir in 1/2 cup crushed candy canes, sprinkle top with more crushed candies.

I made this one the other day. I used Jiff crunchy peanut butter. I didn't have fluff but two and an 1/8 cups of mini marshmallows and 2 teaspoons of corn syrup substitutes nicely. I also used 1 cup of brown sugar in place of one cup of white.

It was yummy. I sent it out the door with my daughter as snacks for the snowboarding group.

PEANUT BUTTER FANTASY FUDGE

3 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 1/4 c. peanut butter
7 oz. jar marshmallow cream
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring first 3 ingredients to a full boil and boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add peanut butter chips or peanut butter, marshmallow cream, nuts, and vanilla. Pour quickly into greased 9 x 13 pan.

Here is mine that I make a lot! 1- 18 OZ jar of Peanut Butter 1 stick margarine-or 1/2 cup margarine 1 ts vanilla 3 to 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar-almost 1 LB Place PB and margarine in microwavable bowl, and warm it, watching and stirring it, so it will not scorch around the edges. Add vanilla, and 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar and mix well with beater. Continue to add powdered sugar, until it seems that no more will mix into the mixture. It will be a crumbly mixture. Pour into 8X8 baking dish (or similar) and use a large spoon or a glass with a smooth rounded bottom to press out flat. Walla---Perfect every time...the secret is to not add too much powdered sugar too quickly, or it will not all mix in. You can also make it with crunchy peanut butter, but it will take considerably less powdered sugar. Sue

Need help finding peanut butter candy recipe -- not fudge

Your description of the candy texture sounds very much like a candy that the Sun Harvest store carries, called "Halvah". But it is made with Sesame seeds. Finely ground, I think. I have done a Google search for Halvah recipes, but didn't find any made with peaunt butter. But I imagine you could substitute peanut butter for the Tahini or ground sesame seeds in one of the recipes for the sesame Halvah. I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone comes up with your recipe. I dearly love the Sesame Halvah, but don't indulge very often, it is quite rich, and very addictive! Rusty

I don't know if it's similar or not but here's one I like: CHICAGO PEANUT BUTTER PIE 8-10 oz fudge cookies, ground fine 1/3 cup sugar 1 stick butter, softened 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened 1 cup chunky peanut butter 1 cups confectioners' sugar 1 cup heavy cream, whipped Preheat oven to 350Â°. Combine the cookie crumbs, sugar & butter until well blended. Press the mixture onto the bottom & up the sides of a 9" pie plate & bake 15 minutes. Cool. In a processor, combine the cream cheese, peanut butter & confectioners' sugar. Process until almost smooth. Gently stir in the whipped cream & pour into the pie shell. Barb, this is the recipe I use. It doubles easily and I make a huge half sheet pan full in less than half an hour. No beating until it's stiff, my carpal tunnel won't let me do that, so I make this. Everyone loves the stuff and I can use different types of chips so I can make half chocolate and half peanut butter if I use peanut butter chips, or chocolate mint or use vanilla chips and maple flavoring, or whatever suits me. If I double the recipe, I do have to cook longer, maybe 9 or 10 minutes. Fantasy Fudge Ingredients: 3 cups white sugar 3/4 cup butter 2/3 cup evaporated milk 1 (12 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips 1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1. Grease a 9x13-inch pan. 2. Mix sugar, margarine, and evaporated milk in a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Bring mixture to a full boil for 5 -7 minutes, stirring constantly, you should reach soft ball stage. 3. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted and thoroughly combined.
