We started a little project together months ago and I don't see that it will be finished anytime soon. Alex - I would maybe consider a dresser there if I could find the right one. You've always reminded me of someone I'd get along with well IRL. Thanks again everyone! I change my mind daily about what I want to do with that area. I really want to decorate a bookshelf but I think I'll appreciate a cleared floor by the end of the day. However, I may run into that perfect something tomorrow. I have nursery ideas for both a girl or boy that I'll need some help refining. We will be finding out and crossing our fingers the Dr. is correct as I have specific directions I want to go with each. Yes what I was thinking is sections side by side . Build the boxes then have hubby do shelves for support . Basically just what I have in current kitchen only just built into a box we paint that will be inside the pantry. Doing two sections side by side I could do pullouts on lower part of about four.one side four other side. The above that dividers for trays and stuff. I was not sure people did that in walk in's though had never seen a picture. Basically trying to get proof so I can say see they did it :) If I did them on the very back wall of walk in then I could do them about 18 inches deep built in a 20 inch depth box that would allow for the hardware. I hope I have enough room in new place need to go measure soon. If not enough room for two surely there should be room for at least one .

My tall oven cabinet came with a shelf, so I just put it high enough to fit my griddle and extra long platters and then placed the dividers on top of the shelf. The dividers can be screwed down, but I didn't bother as they don't move much without the screws and it also meant I didn't have to drill holes in my shelf! Even if the cabinet had not come w/the shelf, I was going to ask for one since I already had planned for this storage based on what I had seen here in the thread linked below. I think I got the idea from Gizmonike and Sail-Away. BTW...I was originally going to get the Rev-A-Shelf dividers but put these from Walmart in temporarily. The Walmart ones worked so well that I didn't bother to replace them...besides, I would have needed 6 packs of 2-dividers each and at $14.95 per 2-pack, this was much cheaper! I used 3 dividers from Walmart at $5.95 each, so $18 vs $90...easy decision! I also bought two more of those dividers and put them under my corner prep sink...one in each deep corner One holds cutting boards, the other holds my pizza stones & cast iron frying pan. homepro and mindstorm, As a rule the Euro manuf. will not sell you accessories if you just walk off the street and ask. 1st , part of what they sell is a look and/or system. There is a lot of time and $$$ invested in creating the look and the products. It's part of what makes you what that widget in the first place. If they just sold everyone the cool dodads, they would quickly erode their brand and have no money to dream up the next cool dodad for you to drool over. 2nd, it's a royal pain in the %^*$)( to order a spice tray, or trash can or whatever. The margins for the dealer here on those items are basically nil and the order goes thru 2 countries to be processed. That said dealers can do as they please, so you may find a place that has Bulthaup, or Poliform, or SieMatic that is willing to sell you a single widget or 10 knobs or handles. Corerate owned stores or Studios of which there are a lot will politely tell you to buzz off. (unwritten rule). In addition, all these cabinets are metric. So the stuff sized for metric drawers is not going to fit most cabinets in the USA anyway.it's usually narrower and shallower than the equiv. USA size. Also keep in mind that many of these companies have their stuff made on contract only for them. So say for instance BLUM may make the drawer and slides for Poliform and Poggenpohl - but a Poliform drawer knife insert will not fit in a Poggenpohl drawer. This is very common. The accessories made by BLUM will fit their drawers and others too, they are less fitted. Bulthaup drawers are made by Grass and are pretty standard except for color, Alno's are made by Hettich I believe and are standard, SieMatic's come from Hettich also but are exclusive to them. Poggenpohl and Poliform both have Blum with minor variants.
