Did you get the sink from WSC direct?
I love the wall color (Looks simular to what I have now). Your floors are beautiful! And I had to look twice -- I thought you had installed the countertop, but I guess you've just painted it -- so creative.

What type of hood did you get? Are you please with it, and how about the sound level? That's my next decision --

I got the sink and faucet from WSC Direct. Not the greatest in responding to my order queries but good enough. And prices were great and sink arrived sooner than promised.
Countertop is just painted OSB for now.

I got a Kobe hood. Very quiet at its lowest setting. You have to turn on the power to the hood (not the fan) and then hit the light button to get the lights on. Seems like you should just be able to hit the light. Also odd that the up/down buttons for the fan speed seem to be opposite of what I would think they should do. Pressing the right button causes the speed to slow down. Left button causes it to speed up.

Buster is a great assistant. If you think getting in the way = assistance.

Everything looks great! Love your color choices. Please tell about your floors-- what finish is that?

I like using walls for extra color that you can change whenever.
I like the microwave. It fits. So well, you'd think it took Ikea to figure that. But I'll bet you did that.

It was fantastic idea to make it "galley".
In such a big room most people would tend towards thinking of getting the counter to wrap around corners.
But doing so you'd lose a lot.
This layout makes it feel big in a minimal kind of way. (- hope that makes sense).

Where are you planning mirrors if at all?

Is the faucet low-flow? Is the faucet really really low-flow? I know someone who wants more flow and can't figure out how to remove the flow limiter, if there is one.

Are you saying the landing pad for wet dishes is the part that makes you happy to have the "bigger" sink? The sink portion is the same as a 33" ( Y / N ?)

How do you like having two small drawers at the end instead of a single drawer?

What backsplash are you thinking of? Stainless? Bisazza? Kerlite? Frosted glass "film"?

You've got a lot of outlets. Looks good. Did you make it four circuits per?

I like the DW panel.
I like the shelves
I like the floor.

I like the handles. Not sure I've noticed them in an Ikea before.
I like the wood color. As you said it.
I like the combination of the two.
Long, straight, angular handles, brushed not shiny, with Shaker straightness.

Are you planning a stool or seat under the window? A perch point.

It's good to look at, and I hope for you and whoever it's good to cook in.

Microwave is a GE and seemed the best option for a cabinet depth oven. I don't need much bigger and I love not having it on the countertop.

I think corners are an inefficient use of this space. The old kitchen layout had that and I don't miss it at all. It does feel bigger as a result without being a big kitchen.

What are planning mirrors?

Faucet is high flow. I had the plumbing reworked below and it is 1/2" pipe up to just below the floor then goes to a standard pipe diameter. I don't think you can remove the flow limiter very easily. I took mine apart last night and there are not too many parts you can really remove; maybe one mesh strainer within the handle.

The drawers are all fine for me. Never thought about it since it is how Ikea configured the cabinets. I also got tip out drawers for the three drawers at the sink.

I want/need stainless backsplash for the range but haven't shopped for one yet. And likely tile for the under-cabinet band, but that is for another day.

Each outlet box has two 20 amp circuit pairs. I don't have too many counter top appliances I would run at the same time. And I hated working with 12 gauge wire as much as I did!

Dishwasher panel is great. Stainless seems like it can be shiny but it often seems like dead/black space.

My partner wants a collapsible window table but I think it will just get in my way of using the kitchen. I like the idea but I don't think the space will support it.

Floors are red pine with a minimal of stain added. Used that soft wood because the adjoining room has a 60 year old red pine floor too. It dings easily but looks good so far.

Love love your whole sink set-up! I have total Kohler Stages sink envy. Went with an eBay 36" SS farmhouse sink that was pennies in comparison and also a more generic Commerical style faucet, but really really tried to convince my DH that the Kohler Karbon was worth it. He didn't go for it. Can't wait to see all the rest of the kitchen!

We did a stainless accent tile in my son's bathroom (not quite finished yet) and had a tough time with the trim pieces to match--make sure you've figured out the transitions for that! I ended up using Schluter edging pieces because the end tile I purchased separately did not match exactly with the tile. Love our stainless tile though. I wonder if a solid or patterned single piece of stainless will have rounded edges to elimnate this problem? Something fabricated by a stainless craftsman instead of using tiles.

I love the Karbon more than I had thought.

I almost didn't get it because I was buying it mostly for looks but I do like its performance a lot.

If by hardware you mean the handles? They are from Ikea. I forgot the name but hard to miss if you go online. I think Tyda but not sure.
