boxes, boxes and boxes... Picture heavy

Took me "only" 9 times up and down the three floors via stairs to fill up my car.

Here is the line up, after two boxes were already in the car:

and now, all my stuff from my storage unit is in my house... It looks like I have way to much stuff! But can't wait to get it all out in the open. Sure was WAY FASTER than it took my daughter and me to fill that storage unit. :)

the second bedroom is really just a box room :)

I opened a few.. hung my shower curtain, and went out and dug weeds in the flower bed before it got dark.

Oh, lets not forget, I bought a new fridge. The other one is 1/3 of an inch to wide to go in here. Fridge will be delivered on Wednesday.

I need a shower.. blow up the air bed, and go to bed. Work is at 6:00 AM in the morning.

I'm tired just looking at that,i hate the job of moving,and we moved a lot,as dh was a career marine.One time we moved 3 times in 1 year.Thank goodness most of the time moving companies moved us and set it up at the new place,but it was still hard with toddlers underfoot.

Take your time,and enjoy the process,since it will be your homenow.

Thanks, Carol. Well, the result of my overnight valve leaking test are in! Not too bad. Bottom line: If I extrapolate the results from last night to a full day, those valves are leaking just under 5 gallons in a 24 hour period. Given my current water/sewer rates, about 4 cents a day. I'm still going to replace all the diaphragms though since they are so old. More to prevent a huge failure vs this weeping issue I have. For anyone who stumbles across this string (thank you, Carol, for starting it!). Here is my information: Toro Flo Pro Valve: Model #284-16-04 Replacement Diaphragm Part Number: 89-9861 Replacement Solenoid Part Number: 89-0114 As of this writing, 8/3/22, both replacement part #s are available on Sprinklerwarehouse.com If I ever replace those valves, I was told by Toro that the Jar Top valve part number 53708 is the current replacement. I checked and it is available on Amazon. If I don't have to replace those valves, I'm not going to. I'm a DIYer and that job, although doable, would be a pain.

You are a great organizer! Everything was packed so neatly. Did you do all the heavy lifting by your self?

I had to smile when I read that you went out to dig weeds in the flower bed. A good way to take a break.

I only moved stuff from my apartment. The GREAT bulk of boxes came from storage, where my daughter and I put it all, but movers brought it here.

Looking at your new home pictures made me envious of the style, the floors, the built-ins, just all of it! Even without furnishings it looks comfy :)

Moni I missed the part where you got a house but I am so happy for you and the moving memory goes away fast when you get settled in your new place.

I thought of you this week as we had a couple of bikers as neighbors in the park where we stayed. They were on a tandem and pitched a tent behind us. They were from North Carolina and had flown down to Florida and were coming up and across the country before heading back home. I was going to ask if by chance they might know you and then I realized that I didn't even know your real name so I just asked if they had any biker buddies from OK or Edmond, OK and they said no so it didn't matter about the name....but I sure did think of you when I saw their set up since I read you blog when you were traveling....

That's a lot of boxes, Moni. Good thing you have all that storage in your new home. I should save those pictures for the next time I get the itch to move. Sure would make me think twice :-)

Have fun unpacking all the stuff you haven't seen since it's been in storage!!

Who knows, they might of heard of me.... as in Moni... I never use my last name in the biking community. Just Moni... LOL, kind of like Cher. :)

How exciting is that!?! You're moving into your new home!

Congratulations! I know you must be happy. There's just nothing like having a home of your own.

We've been in our place for seven months today, and every day I wake up and thank God for getting us into this beautiful (little) house! :)
