Cpvc vs pex or copper

I'm in the process of replacing my corroded copper pipes.

I'm looking at doing a manifold to centralize all my shut-offs and hopefully control my water pressure.

I've searched online to find manifolds that will suit my needs and find them rather expensive.

I can make my own, as I wish it to be, in pex or copper for the same amount of money, but have what I really want.

I see that I can do the same thing with CPVC for much less money (1/2 to 2/3rd's less).

What are the downsides to CPVC?

There must be some at this kind of a savings.
