My 5 Wives?

What do you think of it? I watched it twice, I saw it this week and I am just not happy with it. Too much time in the bed's and too much kissing. Sister wives doesn't show all that. You never see them waking up in the morning together. I also noticed its not a "clear" picture, it's more like a low quality movie your seeing.Some of the wives are whinny. I don't care for the husband either.

I don't think its gonna make it. What's your thoughts on this one?

Why is any air time at all devoted to an illegal practice? I don't get it.

I tried to watch it once... it didn't hold my attention though. I do like 'Sister Wives', but don't think I'll be watching 'My 5 Wives'.

Forget the walnuts. No mower I know of will pick them up reliably unless you're cutting at the lowest height, and it's going to make a heck of a racket as it bats them around inside the deck. Assuming you'll be cutting at 3" and higher, you won't bag many. One thing for sure, the underside of any mower used like that will be really clean! Walnut chips are used as cleaning/polishing media for metals. How about a yard chipper/vac? As far as your mower short list, the LB 10685 or 10695 looks like the choice to me unless you're willing to go with the Honda HRX for $300 more. I have a LB 10684 that's the same as the 10685 except for a different method of controlling the drive. This is a great mower. Mulching and bagging are excellent and the Tecumseh engine has been flawless. Not as refined as the Honda engine, but the Honda engine is 5.5 HP to the Tecumseh 6.5. You only get the Honda 6.5 HP engine on the Honda mower (which is now the only mower line where the primary manufacturer makes the deck and engine). With the Honda, you may like the HRX217TDA better - it has a traditional 3-speed transmission controlled by a gear shift lever and a bail handle. Plus, it's cheaper than the HXA.

I thought i'd just pass along this little tidbit about Pricilla Tyler, the daughter in-law John Tyler asked to be his hostess at the White House due to Letitia's illness. Priscilla Cooper was born in New York City in 1816. Her father Thomas Apthorpe Cooper was a successful stage actor and producer. Her mother Mary Fairlee Cooper was a New York socialite. Priscilla began to work as an actress at the age of 17. Pricilla's father was a great success in the theater business and the Coopers lived in a grand house on Broadway. Unfortunately the family's fortunes were reversed during the Panic of 1837. The family lost their house and at one point were reduced to subsisting on radishes and strawberries. Pricilla met the former US Senator John Tyler's eldest son Robert Tyler while playing Desdemona in a production of Othello in Richmond, Virginia. In Victorian America, acting was considered a scandalous profession and actresses had little social standing. It would seem unlikely a young actress with financial problems could ever marry the son of a wealthy plantation owner, however despite their social differences, the couple wed in Bristol, Pennsylvania on September 12, 1839, and the Tyler's warmly welcomed her into the Tyler family.

I enjoy the show. I don't think they did anything wrong with Truely. They took her to the Dr and followed his instructions. She didn't have all the other problems till later when they told her to get her to the hospital. I don't think there will be a 5th wife, that would mean she would have no home and it would be like it was with the 4 separate families. Too much trouble to have another wife now that they have the 4 homes.

It sounds hostile, but it is not, personally it is my sincere wish as a child of divorce. I have wathed my BM struggle through the pain, and anger of the divorce, but it is not about hating the new partner of her ex, or even punishing him, it is about the effect on the life she was building as well as the effects on her children. She fought to protect us from the effects of the divorce, and us having to deal with the fact that our father actually believed that this woman loves us. She accepts us, and we accept her. We recieve nice gifts on christmas and birthdays, but her marriage to dad is for her satisfaction and her life, my sibling and I agree that we do not appreciate the decisions that shape our lives influenced by a woman who has not sacrificed for us. I mean 'the divorce'! Our sense of security is protected by our mother. She knows us, and gives for us. And i admire her even more now that we are finally settled again from this mess, for her being brave enough to love again. My step dad has filled a real gap for us in the home, he has embraced what another has compromised. My personal hope and faith has been renewed. But unfortunately my dad does not seem to get it! He's now jealous. WHAT!

Joann, I have only looked at it while I was flipping through~~~I think all of the same things you just posted. I thought it was because I did not watch a whole episode. I was wondering why all the bedroom stuff and that it was out of focus. also get a creep alert from him:(

Totally agree with Rhizo. Why all of this celebrating of it (this one or Sister Wives)? I have the same feeling about the pregnant teens shows.

I also agree with Rhizo and suzieque. Shock tv, cat fights, girls dressing and acting like hookers, guys acting like d bags, unwed pregnant children, baby girls dressed and taught to act like grown women and then throw in some polygamy to round it all out.

Um.......no. I won't watch any of it.

(Just a side thought, why don't the polygamists ever consist of one wife and 4 or 5 husbands? Or does it? I don't know, and I honestly don't care, it was just a thought.)

No I think at some point they were Mormon, but broke from the church...that is why they talk of moving..

I think many people are fascinated by more than one wife but I would be willing to bet just from what I have seen that they are not the loving each other bunch of wives that they want us to believe...

I've only seen the promos for it and I would not watch. What is interesting about this type of show? Or sister wives either. I tried to watch that one and only saw part of a show. Too much other good shows that are of a moral value. JMO.

I have seen the commercials for it and, like Sister Wives, too much whining and crying for me. Jealousy seems to be the order of the day, which is annoying. If you sign up to work on a farm, your gonna step in it!

I hate those commercials, they are annoying. I can't stand looking at him either! If I had 1-2-3-4-5 sister wives I'd be jealous too!

I felt no closeness or bond between the five wives. They look so uncomfortable together and I don't feel a sense of family like I do with Sisterwives.

One woman ... four or five husbands?

The trains don't run both ways on that track!

If there were guns in the house ...

... soon there'd be fewer "husbands"!

Some years ago a friend was telling of her husband who'd strayed ... apparently on a few occasions ... or was it mainly such when he was found out?

In any case, there was crying and reconciliation, etc.

I said that I thought that, on the second occasion (or, maybe the first?), that I'd have told him that he should pay careful attention to what I was about to say, which was that the next time that he tried that, that I'd go out and do exactly the same.

She said that she had ... and his reply, made with substantial vehemence, had been that "he'd kill her!".

Dad used to say that what was sauce for the goose ... should be sauce for the gander.

Tired of the 1 husband many wives idea...in the old days I guess they couldn't figure out paternity, today with DNA testing it's a different game....how about wife and her 5 husbands?..
