Do you play online computer games?

I'm bummed out! My favorite computer game, isketch, is having problems and I miss it! I like it because you can chat while you play it. It's like pictionary. Do you guys know of any good online games where people like to chat?

I've never played a computer game or any other electronic game. I don't think I'd be able to sit still long enough. It's hard for me to sit through an entire movie without thinking of something that I need to do. I wish I could relax more, but I never have been able to just sit.

Lulie, I'm exactly the same as you - I can't possibly just 'sit' - I've gotta be doing SOMETHING to stir my stumps!

I find that my treadmill time goes by faster and easier when there's something I can "do" while I'm walking/jogging. Some people can't manage to read while exercising, but I do. That really helps. If I had the space to put the treadmill in the same room as the TV, you bet I'd use it while watching videos or shows. I'd NEVER sit down to watch TV if I could be moving on something. A mini-trampoline or even just sitting on a Pilates ball can help with keeping some part of you active (even if it's just the abs) while you otherwise watch TV or play games. Glad it worked for you! It just makes sense, doesn't it?

No I wouldn't pay to play games on the computer. Even the train game. I enjoy it when it is free, but I tire of things really easily. If I play some games too long I see them behind my eyelids when I am trying to go to sleep at night. I think it works on my mind. My mother told me once that she never learned how to crochet from her mother. The reason was that DGM went to the doctor and the doctor told her she had to quit crocheting because it was working on her mind. This would have been in the days of kerosene lamps, thus not very good light. I think the same thing happened to her as it does to me. I do play yahoo pinochle and euchre. Right now I am doing jigsaw puzzles on shockwave, but I can't do it for very long or I see the pieces when I want to go to sleep. I also do the shanghai dynasty that someone mentioned on here and I like that. Also spider solitaire and majong titans. So I admit I love games but I would never pay for them.

I have played this w/ family for years, we called it 10,000, thats what you have to get to win. All you need is 6 dice and a cup to shake and paper to keep score. I saw they sell in the stores now, Farkcle, or something like that. You can have as few as 2 or as many players as you want. Lots of fun. I found the instructions on-line: http://members.aol.com/dicetalk/rules/10000.txto find instrustions o To clarify: You need to decide to keep points or keep rolling. If you make a roll and don't get any (points)Pointers you loose all points. If you get 1,2,3,4,5,6 (in one roll) you get to keep those and roll all the dice again to keep getting points, even if you get nothing on the 2nd roll of all dice.. Ones and fives you can accumulate over a series of rolls. The three of a kind must be done in a single roll. If you have any questions I will try to answer them. There is something I'm forgetting, havn't played for a while.

Mine were where yours is at back in the day. The sticker shock was worse because I really did not believe my three would spend the time playing these games that the price warranted. I was correct. Ours was minimally used. My son chose ping pong, disc golf and learning to juggle over time "gaming". We chose gamebox--My students would say it was the wrong choice. My students who play, play NON STOP in their non school time. These games have become their lives. They play with never seen strangers alone in their rooms and tell us they were not alone. The games they play are "Call Of Duty" and all its versions --all violent and ugly. If I taught a parenting class and if I thought anyone would listen the #1 mistake parents make is buying into the video/social media device purchases. Technology is dumbing down, making social outcasts, ruining our kids. These Gamers will never be captains of industry!!!

The only computer game I play is the KT trivia and that only takes a couple minutes (because I am slow :-). I already waste too much time googling stuff and reading forums.

I know there are a lot of game players here though!

pogo games ask you to sign up but they don't ask a lot of info.

You can also become a member for about 29 a year and play all the games free with no ads.

I'm not a member and there are a lot of games to play and they all have a chat box. There are ALL KINDS of games to play...I love it.

My one and only computer game is Bookworm. It is a word game where letters come up on a board and you do your best to get a high score while trying to keep the Bookworm from eating them. Cute graphics and audio. Free download or you probably have it in your programs, or you can buy the Deluxe Edition at WalMart for $10.

I play dozens of computer games! Text Twist is one of my favorites. I also play that train game whenever it's free.

I used to play a lot of the match-three games, but grew tired of them. Same with Collapse and some others. They're still in my bookmarks, but I rarely play them.
