I have played this w/ family for years, we called it 10,000, thats what you have to get to win. All you need is 6 dice and a cup to shake and paper to keep score. I saw they sell in the stores now, Farkcle, or something like that. You can have as few as 2 or as many players as you want. Lots of fun. To clarify: You need to decide to keep points or keep rolling. If you make a roll and don't get any (points)Pointers you loose all points. If you get 1,2,3,4,5,6 (in one roll) you get to keep those and roll all the dice again to keep getting points, even if you get nothing on the 2nd roll of all dice.. Ones and fives you can accumulate over a series of rolls. The three of a kind must be done in a single roll. If you have any questions I will try to answer them. There is something I'm forgetting, havn't played for a while.

Scrabble and Uno are our families favorites. We have a scrabble dictionary, which makes it fun to learn new words.

Connect 4 is a good one if playing with children, even those who are quite young. Each game takes about 5 minutes, so they will stay with it for more than a game or two, particularly if you let them win about 1/2 the time until they get good enough that they can truly beat you. I enjoy the hand held battery one that I can play by myself. It is good to take on a long trip by car for anyone to use and enjoy.

Sue, you can still buy Flinch. I just bought a new game about a year ago. My granddaughters play it with me. Another one they like is Miles Bournne. Not sure if that is spelled right. It's an auto race game where you try to give your opponent flat tires, speeding tickets, etc. The first one to reach 5000 miles wins the game. It's fun!

Mexican Train....in fact I just bought a set of double fifteen dominos to add more to the game. I also play scrabble, upwords, boggle and bought a new word game recently called Bananagrams. We also have spill and spell (an oldie but goodie) and I came across a miles bourne game at a thrift store last year. Seems I misplaced the one we had in the 70's. If the game is cheap enough I will purchase it on speck at a thrift and so far we have been lucky and gotten complete games. One store even lets you check things out to see what is missing inside. For cards we play crib and that is about all besides solitarie.

Forgot about Rummikub we love that one too! Amazon has quite a few sets and they are inexpensive. We also enjoyed Apples to Apples last winter.

Pit (Based on the stock market) is my favorite. Hard to find, but it is fun!

We just spent the weekend with my brothers family and broght out Jenga, hadn't played it years, it was the hit of the weekend! We bought it about 15 years ago, played it once, didn't like it. Played it at a friends about a year ago, and found out it WAS fun, then played it all weekend!

We play cards quite a bit - gin rummy, spades, hearts, canasta, Uno, go-fish with Chloe.

One of my favorite games is backgammon, which I play on the Netgammon server.

We also play Monopoly, the board game of Pictionary, Clue, Jenga, Scrabble, and so on.
