~Finally! When I Suck in My Stomach...

Something moves.

LOL

The last four weeks at work has been nuts.

Lots of changes; lots of messes. Lots of walking, bending over, picking up and carrying.

It began with a rental for a baby shower.

They trashed the place.

I am not kidding.

Plants were knocked over, storage rooms were rummaged through...not to mention the kitchen was a wreck and the floors? Ay Yi Yi!

Then, the commodities/food bank people arrived with a big load of foods, cleaning supplies and other donated items.

THEN the health inspector arrived and told my boss we had to do something about the carpeting in a storeroom; he's been warning us for three years to remove and replace with something hard and cleanable. Her boss hasn't done it. The next day we pulled everything out, including shelving and pulled up the carpet ourselves. We did however, leave it by the door so the boss's boss could haul it off. We figured we'd done our part. LOL

Then we had problems with a freezer which was a good thing because it needed cleaning badly.

Then I found a fellow in the city who donated a pool table! I was sooooo excited but it's taking up some space.

Picture this in your mind:

A very large historical building (it was once a ball room/movie theater/theater/basketball building) with stuff scattered all over the place.

The stage is wall to wall boxes of paper goods, canned goods, metal shelving and pallets.

The pool table is next to the patron computers, shoved between a three box high stack of food commodities AND a table groaning with case goods.

Scattered all over, sorted loosely by food/product genre are more stacks of boxes.

A big pile of lime green carpet and rubber backing is shoved by the front door waiting for our boss and his son to haul it off.

We've moved the exercise machine (two treadmills, three ab loungers and two exercise bikes) to the middle of the dining hall next to the two quilts set up.

Six or seven boxes of donated boxes and stacked near the library entrance.

You get the drift.

I've been working hard and eating right and my fat pants are loose! And like I said, when I suck in my gut it actually moves.

Aren't you proud of me?

LOL

If you are, not nearly as proud as I am of myself.

Our dumpster sits on two feet of snow. We stand in the mud beneath it. I can now hold the dumpster lid open AND chuck a garbage back in it! And not even breath hard!

I was in good shape last fall....like the week before Halloween.

I know they say chocolate is good for you...but I don't think they mean by the pound! Between Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, well, I let myself go. I didn't say no to anything. LOL.

It sure feels nice to pickup a box and carry it easily.

I like feeling strong.

As long as my clothes fit comfortably, size and weight isn't important to me. Being strong and able to do things is.

YIPPPEE!!

Lori who just had to brag....
