Buzzing about Spring? Nah. Never mind that my trees are a full month ahead of schedule. People are buzzing about an overnight low that broke the previous record high. People are buzzing about Memorial Day water temps on St. Patrick's Day. Thanks to AGW it appears we're playing with loaded dice. Interesting times indeed. Spring bloomers are pretty an all, but I'd just prefer it if the climate that has sustained homo sapiens for all this time didn't change in my lifetime.

I just wonder who really likes Kate. Absolutely no one I know and everywhere I read people are saying ..why is she still there. I like Pam. I think she's cheap looking and don't like her sexy routine but I like her when she tones that part down. She has done so much for the welfare of animals in her life, she is to be admired . Plus I think she's good. Basically I like everyone but Kate. Really dislike everything about that woman. Has nothing to do with her horrific dancing. Her brother testified in court today around here that she faked Xmas for her kids. Told them it was Xmas day so they could film them opening their gifts and have the spontaneity. Wonder why no family member speaks to her.

I think the thing that won it for Donald Driver was the free style dance; especially the fact that it was the last dance the viewers got to see before voting. Tom Bergeron said at one point during the evening that through the first 8 weeks, Katherine had scored more total points than any contestant ever on the show. That should have counted for something, in my opinion. Just as the judges got the final score on the final dance on Tuesday, the final three couples should have earned extra points based on how many points they scored during the season. And considering how Katherine Jenkins was a virtual unknown in the United States until she did this show (she was primarily known only to classical music fans), for her to come in second is, to me, the same as winning (without, of course, the "coveted mirror ball trophy"). Every season I think, who are these people? Doesn't seem like it's going to be a good season - and every season I get sucked in, getting to know their personalities and watching their improvement. In the end, it doesn't seem to much matter what I thought about the cast in the beginning - I always enjoy watching the journey. Wouldn't miss it!
