Help! What to do with frozen grape tomatoes...

I just opened my freezer and noticed the pint of grape tomatoes I'd bought the other day. Whoops! Apparently I wasn't paying attention while unloading groceries -- usually I leave them out on the counter.

Any idea what I should do with these babies? They won't be good raw. Was thinking of defrosting and then slow-roasting them w/ some olive oil and herbs, and then adding some kalamata olives, garlic, feta cheese, leftover chicken, and wilted spinach. Could then put the whole mess over pasta or mashed potatoes.

Any other ideas? What would you do with a pint of frozen grape tomatoes?

Yeah I intended to save some myself/ I put it off as so much coming in at one time. and with this NEW order clown world out there . I get so distracted... Plus older...LOL I only had some one time at a Greek outdoor festival...I cant remember what they were stuffed with either. I cut most of mine down as they were here when we moved in and get full of disease. Saw some wild ones growing . Someone clued me to freezing tomatoes hen we had too many to eat and not enough for a batch. I love it! So much easier than the vittorio strainer or food mill. I wash and core, slice off the blemishes, and freeze in a bag. When time allows or the freezer is full, just slip off the skins, whiz in a blender, and can the juice. No cold break in the finished juice and very little mess. Seems to eliminate some excess water as well. Use the tomato water for pasta cooking, or especially soup or chili water. I freeze in flat bags because im too cheap to spend a lid.

Yes, they can and so not all grape cultivars are recommended equally for this area. However, 'Buffalo' does get some favorable response from the WSU ratings of suitable varieties for the Puget Sound area. I have no idea what "foxy" refers to either, but the term comes up frequently when discussing grape flavors, generally with reference to wine production. I would blend them with a little vodka and bloody mary spices and re-freeze into a Bloody Mary Slushy and serve with a cocktail shrimp.

I'd toss them into the next stir fry...
Or do a slow fry with them myshrooms onion and red andg reen peppers....garlic of course and fresh basil if you can find any....

Hmm...that's so funny, I had half a thought about making some kind of smoothie with basil or pesto in it...but the vodka idea is pretty good! My husband might like that a lot.

Stir fry would work, or maybe one of those days where cook all the veggie odds and ends in the fridge with a bottle of Trader Joe's curry sauce.

Frozen tomatoes can be used in any cooked dish. Gardeners know that throwing tomatoes in the freezer is the easiest way of preserving them. They will be great in soups or sauces.

Jim: you're right !!!

Put them in a Blender and Pulse enough to make crushed, for
Spaghetti sauce.
You can put in containers to refreeze for later.
