Svelte Sage has a lot of fans here.

I used it in a hall bath and am really not too crazy about it. Maybe it's because the area is smaller, but it does look a little minty with a tiny shot of blue. Not warm at all.

I looked at your kitchen inspiration picture, gr82bgrammy, and while the SS is close, I think your green has a tad (and just a tad) bit more yellow in it.

If Parma says it's a little on the blue side, take heed, she has a good eye for color!

I have used Svelte Sage twice. Below are two pictures. The first is my kitchen in a former house, and the other is my new, not-quite-finished kitchen.

Although my eye for color is not that good, I do not see any blue in it.

I love the Svelte Sage in my living room!

I have Muralo Prairie Path in my kitchen. I posted recently on the kitchen forum, so you can see photos there. The post title Another Happy Soapstone Customer.

I asked my hairdresser what color her walls were because I liked the color so much. It was Svelt Sage. It looks a lot better on the walls then it does on the little card. I don't see any mint in it at all.

I was responding about the Svelte Sage in regard to OP's inspiration color/kitchen.

I think when you put the two rooms together, the green in the inspiration kitchen has a bit more yellow in it, making it a warmer green than the SS.

Thanks for the photos and input so far on my paint color dilemma. Here is a pic of my kitchen, before the updates we are currently working on, with the last green shade I tried out. It is Porter Paint Flying High if I remember correctly. I really like the depth and color on cloudy days, but if the sun is shining brightly, or the lights are on in the evening, the color is a sharp green instead of a nice warm one. That is why I was thinking about the Grassland or Svelt Sage. Take a look at this current paint color, that only sometimes works for me, and let me know whether you think one of these colors will be better or not. Thanks a bunch!

As you can see in the above photo, the color looks bright and sharp, not warm and inviting. That is what I'm trying to avoid with my next color. But, I do not want a mint color either. My kitchen is on the north side of the house with a window at the north and one on the east side of the house at the table. The lighting does play a big factor on the color here.

I like many of the rooms that have been posted on this thread and thank you for showing me. I do agree with Parma, when looking at the photo that I posted on another thread and one of the Svelt Sage just under it, the s. sage appears a bluer shade of the green.

Any ideas about a warm, brownish green that would look good in my kitchen? Can anybody do a mock up for me please?
We just got our new counters installed and redid the kitchen sink, where it is now showing the apron front. Tomorrow the bead board goes up and then I'll be ready to paint! Well, that is, if I can settle on a color!

We used BM Camouflage. It is a great neutral green and goes well with our cherry cabinets and slate floors. Our trim is BM Navaho white.

Hoosiergirl has Porter Delta Green in her kitchen. It looks like the kind of color that might work for you.

I've found that most paint colors that have an herb in their name, sage, thyme, etc. tend to be in the cooler range.

Hoisergirl also appears to have a warm tan/gold in the hallway, another clue to the warmth of the green in her kitchen.

Color is so relative that it's hard to discern the undertones (for me) unless I'm looking at shades side by side. Some people, (like Parma) can see undertones w/out a comparison right in front of them. She gave some good tips above for recognizing cool/warm undertones in green hues.

Ggr82bgrammy, you seem to be know more clearly what you want in a color & that's half the battle, imo! I think you're getting "warmer" to finding that perfect shade of green!

that picture you like looks a lot the way baby turtle looks in my house. I have some pictures posted in the gallery. The wall to the left of the ovens gets kind of brown just the way my baby turtle does in certain lights.

My kitchen and BR are painted Grassland. It is a warm, muted green. I also tested Svelte Sage but it was too dark for my rooms which have wood wainscotting, wood trim and wood floors. With your having white cabs, I think you could use the more saturated color, Svelte Sage, especially if you have good natural light. I will photograph my rooms for you this morning when I get a bit more sunlight.

O.K. Here's the SW Grassland in my BR.

Here it is against my kitchen china hutch which is an ivory color. (backsplash behind the rangetop is unfinished!)

Don't have any pics, but I just used Svelte Sage in my kitchen, and I love it! Almost went w/ the Grassland but changed my mind at the last minute. My cabs are honey oak, countertops are Milano Quartz Wilsonart laminate, and floor is Armstrong vinyl Carrizo Vanilla.

My sis has white cabs and black countertops and just painted her kitchen SW Softened Green. She wanted Clary Sage, next down on the strip, but her DH said it was too dark.
