It was a great day here for that also. I need to put my hammock stand back up under the big oak in the back yard. I love days like this.

That's funny! My dad's greenhouse growing up was 16' X 40' with two evap coolers at the south end and fans in the ceiling on the north end blowing air back towards the south. The south end was always a good five degrees warmer.

craftsman_lodge The Mascord plan you mention was one of our favorite as well. We ended up not using it because we didn't think it would "sit" right on our lot, but I love so much about the plan. beachbumWe went with a different Mascord plan, but I found lots of plans on his site www.mascord.com that lend themselves to rear views. You can also use their Plan Search feature to search specifically for plans where the "Direction of View" is to the rear. Good luck! Searching through house plans is a fun stage.

I did. I ordered all 70 sq feet of countertop from Home Depot. I got Witch Hazel which is typically $69/sq ft and I got it for $59/sq ft. Saved us approximately $700. The fine print at Home Depot indicated something like "save up to $400" but they applied the lower price to the whole order. We aren't quite ready for templating yet but the fabricator said to just call when we're ready...they didn't have a time frame on it at all. I love, love, love so many of the new Corian colors. We are just not "rock" people so when my hubby convinced me to look at Corian, I fell head over heels! Edited to add: I don't know if you're aware of it or not but you can order a larger sample directly from Corian. It's a 10x10 size and it really helped me decide. P.S. There is a difference between downsizing and organizing. The skill sets cross over, and many organizers are also offering downsizing services to help Boomers and their parents, but make sure you have contracted with someone who does this, to avoid wasting time. Downsizers usually offer the service of taking the stuff away after the session. If not, you need to work with them to have a system in place, otherwise you will just end up with boxes full of stuff YOU need to get rid of. From the get-go, the organizer should set up a system of categorizing stuff into piles by where it is intended to go. Goodwill, recycling, trash, domestic abuse shelter, etc. Find out what your recycling center does and does not take ahead of time. Same with domestic shelter needs, church collection services, etc. If your local library has a book sale, find out when and where they take donations. Etc., etc. Also forgot to mention, give some thought to how you do want to organize what is left. For example, I have shelving units in my bedroom, and there is a certain size and type storage container that fits on them. I have a set of spare ones too, which would have some in handy during an organizing session, instead of using off sized opaque brown boxes with the intent of later getting the right-sized clear storage containers for the stuff. Be ready to be free of what you don't want by the end of the session and have what is left all organized. This may require some pre thought and planning on your part. Or two sessions with the organizer. A short consultation visit might be best beforehand under those circumstances.

I would love it if we could have a good old fashioned spring here this year. So often it seems like we go from cold to hot without those nice warm weeks leading up to summer.

That's what's so nice about living in NW Florida - it's never really hot and rarely gets really cold. The wind is our biggest issue - it can cut through you like a knife, in winter and early spring - brrrrr!

I'm in Long Island,and it's still winter here. It was 30 degrees when I got up this (Saturday) morning. But tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and Wednesday is the First Day of Spring! Yay!

It was very windy yesterday, which brought a lot of "hated" cedar tree pollen to the area.

Thus, today I am miserable...

The weather here has been heavenly the last few days temperature wise...But will take a cold dive for a few days, prolly as long as my daughter and her family are here. :(

Looks lovely! My dds thought it would be such a great idea to get Daddy a hammock, no realizing the overhang can't support it. So now we have a stand that is IN MY WAY all the time! We don't have a large backyard and he hardly ever lies in it. One of the dds does when she visits which isn't often, since she lives several states away.

Hey, Glenda, maybe you can sneak over there sometime when he's not home and give it a spin....

Sure sounds good!! Had about 6 inches of white stuff, just got driveway cleaned temp up to 5 above and more comming The people here are aiming for June to see spring or summer--maybe.
