How beautiful Konrad.

We are in a drought here and so have had no winter precipitation, which is unusual for us. I have been missing it.

So thanks for sharing your winter scenes with us. The sun on the winter hoar frost in the third one is really nice.

Here are our winter wonderland pics hubby & son took the day after the storm. backyard views of greenhouse, patio, concrete yard decor, raised beds & layer chicken coops (oops a white bucket is left there, too) view from deck of path back to more coops for ducks, show chickens, and rabbits. The visible green and clear shower curtains are closed to reduce wind for ducks and chickens in raised cages. driveway back toward house & gardens. Porch looks bare compared to summer baskets and pots put away in greenhouse stone path from driveway to trail in woods closeup of snowball bush leaf with snow

Those are beautiful. The dark blue water in that pool looks almost surreal. I love the pics of the birds :) I have a funny story about animal tracks. There are bunny tracts up to a rose I had a cutting of that had leafed out. The bunny nipped that rose and headed for the next one. Apparently bunny didn't see the cat hanging right there. There is this crazy flurry of cat and bunny tracks all over the place before bunny made it's way back to the field next to my house. According the the prints the cat gave up and walked off. I was ticked about the rose cutting and felt the flush of sweet revenge that bunny got a good scare!

About 40 miles north of mtnrdredux, we had just snow. I was sad to see my birch out back look like this - A bit to the right - And while I was making the dinner for my friend Jimmy to take to his father and grandmother 2.5 hours north, he was snow blowing paths and the driveway for me. Thank-you, Jimmy! He also gently knocked the snow off the birch for me, and it bounced back, but I lost a Japanese Maple planted this fall.

Nice pictures, as usual, Konrad!

Winter pics from here would only show dead grass and some dead trees...from the drought.

Thanks for posting those.

Your neck of the woods evidenced by your excellent photos has got to be a beautiful place. Reminds me of the mountains in western NC where I spent many years. Snow is always beautiful when one does not have to contend with it.
