Toasting Pecans Question

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Usually I just lurk and learn, but I have a question.

I read here that I can toast pecans in the oven, but I'm scared I will get distracted and burn them (out of sight - out of mind). It would work better for me if I could toast them in a pan on the stovetop.

My question is, what temp and for how long?

I am trying a couple of new recipes from the Better Homes and Gardens 'Christmas Cookies' magazine and they both call for toasted pecans and I've never toasted pecans before. I would really appreciate your help.

The recipes look and sound Delish!

Recipe # 1 - Toffee-Pumpkin Pie Bars (Grandson loves pumpkin pie and Son loves toffee. This is a decadant twist.)

Recipe # 2 - Turtle Brownies

I could eat the pictures, they look so good!

TIA,

Betty
