Pecan price question (again)

What are you guys now seeing for pecan prices around the state? Around here they are now at least $10.00 per lb for shelled nuts, this year's crop, and decent quality. Excellent quality can go up to $11.00. The wholesale price for good natives in the shell is at least $1.50-1.60, which equates to around $4.00 per lb for the nutmeats before the cost of shelling is added in.

While this is great for me in the short term, it might not be so good in the long run.

If anyone has found a source in their area that they like and that has good prices, let us know so we can give them some free advertisement and encourage competition.

My favorite (other than me) is Valley View Pecans near Shawnee and Earlsboro. They have the best prices and quality (and people) that I have seen.
