Scribe Molding and Filler: How much is enough?

hi...

i'm getting close to ordering cabinets, but the scribe molding and filler on my quotes is confusing and expensive!

please tell me if i understand this correctly.

* filler is for where the face frame of a cabinet meets the wall.

* filler comes in lengths matching the heights of wall, base or tall cabinets.

* scribe molding is for where the back of a cabinet meets the wall.

* scribe molding comes in 8 ft lengths.

So:

1. if i count the number of places a base/wall/tall cabinet face frame meets the wall, how many fillers of each should be ordered to be on the safe side?

2. once a filler is ripped (say 1" of a 3" filler), can the remaining part be used elsewhere?

3. does the bottom (underside) of a wall cabinet need scribe molding where it meets the wall?

4. how much scribe molding should be ordered to be on the safe side?

btw, my existing cabinets are so cheap, i don't trust them to inform me!

thanks in advance. :)
