No real feelings one way or the other on the cast (other than I'm glad Maks is back!).

What I don't like is the plan to switch up the pairs part way through the season.

What makes me really happy is the fact that Brooke Burke-Charvet won't be back as co-host!

Why does Tom Bereron get to stay?. I find him very annoying. He tries to be funny and he falls flat.
They should have replaced him as well.

I don't watch it very often, but I may try to catch Meryl and Charlie. Their grace on the ice is stunning, and it'll be interesting to see them competing against each other after being a pair for so many years.

Well, I think it's already game over....Meryl or Charlie is going to take it for sure..so the battle is between them. Everything you see on ice is worked out beforehand (a million times over) on the floor first. And they've done most of those dances as compuslory dances for figure skating. It almost seems like they shouldn't be allowed to be on it.

Just like when Kristi Yamaguchi was on, I knew she would win...she had been a pairs skater so she automatically had the partnering skills, not to mention the grace and natural rhythm.

I have only watched it when there are cast members I like and the last few rounds there hasnt just been anyone I care about seeing.

Will be fun watching Candice Cameron and Danica McKellar, Drew Carey and Billy Dee Williams as well.

I haven't watched the last couple of seasons for two reasons - the dance contestants and Brooke. I finally found her voice just too irritating to listen to any longer.

I'll try watching it again.

Brooke didn't bother me. Tom makes stupid comments. I don't think Erin Andrews is going to be any better.
I think this show is winding down.
I agree with Joanie. Figure skaters and ex dancers should not be allowed.
There are some seasons that I have skipped.

I don't think the ice skating duo should be a part of dancing with the stars. They have a big advantage going in, that the others do not have. Years of practice, choreography, discipline, etc...

It's sad to see the band and singers being replaced. As far as Brooke Burke, I don't care either way. Bringing Erin in to try to boost male viewership is absurd.

The show knows it's in trouble, but I'd rather see it end on a high note, rather than ridiculous changes and twists.

So far I'm not real excited about the new cast. So many I have never heard of................is my age showing?
I'm sure it will be fine when its back on.

I guess we didn't watch the same show -- Brook Burke-Charvet made nothing BUT stupid comments, and Tom Bergeron is fantastic at quick comebacks and quips to cover awkward moments. You must not have seen the episodes where the judges' scores would be given, one at a time, then Brooke would announce the total score -- problem was, she can't add/multiply so she gave the wrong total. As a result, the judges would write down their scores with the total, and Carrie Ann Inaba would hand it to a show staff person who would then take it to Brooke. The stupid woman had to have the total written down for her in order to get it right.

I love Tom Bergeron. Brooke... blaaah.

Whenever the new DWTS season starts I get so excited. And then I hardly watch.

Tom is great, I didn't like Brook at all, she was fake. Ever watch her mouth, shes always making some kind of movements with it. Just weird! I am glad they replaced her.

I think Cloris Leachman actually said to Brooke once " what, are you stupid?" about her inability to total the scores.....ouch! I thought she was a little stiff so I don't mind her being replaced. Tom is OK...he has some good one liners sometimes.

Joanie, LOL. I missed that show. I guess as far as Brooke goes, I didn't really pay much attention.

Brooke is playing the sympathy card. Think about it. This is the entertainment industry -- they always have a contract. If Brooke's contract did not include this upcoming season and she hadn't been in negotiations to extend the contract, then she shouldn't have expected to be returning, especially so close to the start of the new season.

If she had been in contract negotiations, she should have had enough sense to realize that the negotiations weren't going her way, and she shouldn't have expected to be returning, especially so close to the start of the new season.

And, if she actually had a new contract for this season and then ABC opted to cancel the contract, then she has nothing* to complain about because the contract would have included a buy-out which means she would have been paid a handsome sum of money for being let go.

*The only thing she could possibly complain about is if her agent and/or manager had negotiated a contract that didn't include a buy-out clause; and if that's the case, her complaining should be against/about her manager and/or agent. Not the network, not the show itself.
