I agree that solid privacy fence is probably the best option, even if he/she just does that one section of view. Another thought of mine was to plant a tree like swedish columnar aspen. My initial thought was that you can keep it narrow at the base and then let it grow wider near the top, but this probably wouldn't work, since near the bottom is where they want the privacy and these trees are somewhat just bare trunk near the bottom. Cedars wouldn't work as well, unless perhaps thuja occidentalis 'degroots spire' cedar but even then it would take a while to gain any height (not to mention expensive to try to make a hedge out of many of them, might as well buy a section of privacy fence). Maybe lattice and an aggressive yet dependable vine like virginia creeper? Dropmore honeysuckle? The only downside with any vine is that in early spring, late fall and winter there would be no leaves so poochie would be able to see through. Hard to believe he/she doesn't bark when he just hears the kids as opposed to seeing them. I'm no dog trainer but perhaps the owner has to get involved and start scolding him when he growls at the fence? Somehow make him understand the kids are not in his territory? I wonder if he's one of those dogs that's just left outside alone all the time, which can lead to behavior problems too. Anyways, I hope there's a solution as I can't imagine it's pleasant for the kids to be growled at in their own back yard, nor for the neighbors who probably listen to the dog barking. Glen

Nancy, you're right, that's Luau Bread. It's what happens when I post after midnight, LOL. Mmmm, I didn't think of cream cheese, I just had a slice this morning with peanut butter and it was even better. Chase, I have vital wheat gluten and often use it, but I just didn't, for some reason. I should have, with the whole wheat flour, the bran and the flaxseed, clearly. That was a pretty big chunk of butter, I ended up taking some off, LOL. My butter sits on my counter and my thermostat NEVER goes above 55, ever. So, the butter was hard and I just hacked off a hunk, figuring it would melt enough to spread around. It did, and when it melted enough I spread what I needed and took the rest off. (grin) Yeah, OK, I gave the rest of that pat of soft butter to the cat from h*ll, she loves it. Pepper Jack Ties were a dinner roll containing pepper jack cheese and then shaped into knots. They were very good and if I thinly sliced off top and bottom could be used for grilled cheese. Annie

My new email is eileenpgleeson@gmail.com or threedgrad@yahoo.com which I check when I go to the library where I am right now I had to hand write the letter to the landlord (printer was out of ink) and I drove it over last night with a check to cover a portion of Oct's rent and placed it in the landlord's mailbox. He lives a block away and we are in a very safe and nice area of town. He will get the rest of this month's rent this coming Wednesday and depending on what is left over from the check a portion of november's rent too. Then asap I will pay him the rest of Nov rent and dec as soon as I can get make that money. I applied for some architecture firm yesterday but I don't meet the min requirements. Thanks hmsweethm and prill. I just hate to order the grid and then not like it as I know it's pretty pricey. My little plastic thing I got from The Container Store was not. I just really don't see any other way out, though. In my mind, I have to have something in there. I already have a very tiny chip...don't know how in the world that happened. I always blame it on my husband. Would you mind saying where you got your grid....that is if you got a good deal on it. LOL. I have been very fortunate in that my local plumbing supply has had excellent prices on all my needed items. They also carry lighting and I was recently surprised that they had an excellent price on a Minka ceiling fan...better price then anywhere online. Thanks again, pup
