Please show me your granite with darkish brown cabinets ...

We're most likely going to go with cherry cabinets in an Autumn Blush color and are just interested to see how various granite options look with darkish brown cabinets. (Have looked at FKB too, but I'm also hoping to see some that aren't posted there yet).

Well, mine is posted over there but not in the categories section. It's New Venetian Gold. We felt like it went well with our bronze accents and cabinets.

Mine is cherry cabinets in a dark stain. I went with Typhoon Bordeaux in a satin finish. can send pics later.

Hi Buddyrose, Your DH sounds like mine. Mine refused Soapstone it was not the price so much as the upkeep. I fell in love with many stones but finally chose Jet Mist for the Soap Stone look. I have a handful of pics of my slabs and inspiration pictures too. Many of these are from other GWs. I pasted them below. Enjoy, ~Boxerpups This is soapstone but looks similar to Jetmist my jet mist, I can not wait until they are installed. I hope it looks nice too. CE (looking more green but truly pretty) Back to soapstone. This stuff is so neat you can have a sink cut to match the counters.

Please show me your Colonial Cream (or similar) granite

Photos a little washed out. This is colonial Dream, not Cream. Installed beginning of Feb and no real staining but we are careful. I did wake up one morning to see that someone had probably not seen that a drip from a juice bottle fell onto the counter and when I removed it there was a slight stain but now I can't even find it. In my house, the stone takes on an oatmeal background with grey-black and brown veining and raisin splotches here and there. The big deal for me are the icy highlights that show up in our kitchen's low light.

Hello, I don't have oak cabinets, mine are maple in a medium tone. But here is my kitchen with Wilsonarte HD laminate counters. I have corian on my island. I think about later upgrading the laminate to another surface, however I've had laminate for years and I love how easy it is to care for. It always looks nice and never stains. I love the look of granite, soapstone, etc...but I love how easy my counters are to care for. Replacing my laminate counters is way down on the priority list for me, if ever. Elaine

I have maple in a sangria (dark brown/reddish) finish with Giallo Ornamental granite.

We chose contrasting granite rather than matching tones. Our granite is Andromeda White.

Cabinets: Valley Custom Doors Cherrywood with a Brandy stain and chocolate glaze

Granitte: Impala Black but it's more like a dark gray.

We decided on a dark granite with our med brown (Pecan w/ chocolate glaze)cabinets. It went better with our lighter floor and eventual lighter backsplash tiles
