reverse osmosis filter and instant hot

We currently have three separate faucets. We have a regular faucet. We have an ugly old instant-hot faucet by Kitchenaid connected to an under counter tank. We also have a separate (but also ugly) cold water faucet connected to our under counter Culligan reverse osmosis filtration system. We only use this for drinking and cooking. The RO filtered water feeds into the hot water tank. I have since been told that this isn't good and that the RO filtered water is acidic or corrosive or something and can damage the hot water tank. As part of our kitchen renovation, we would like to get ONE faucet that will dispense RO filtered water out of the "cold" side and near-boiling water (but also RO filtered) out of the "hot" side. I think it also has to have an air gap. Culligan doesn't make anything like this. Does anyone have this set up? What products did you use? How do you like it?
