Diva in Pink...

can you guess who's behind the pink umbrella?

Yep, it's Emma! She stayed with us a few days, it was the first time she had gone that far from home by herself (90 miles). We kept her busy. The best part was, when it was time to go home, she said "I wish I could stay longer". That was great to hear!

She thought of this pose herself, she's quite the show-off.

I told her to look serious, this was her attempt.

I'm searching for the same thing -- my DD wants a pink crystal chandelier but I don't know if it's wise to give in to her wish (knowing how fickle these girls are!) :-) besides Potterybarn kids, there are rosenberry rooms which carries a lot of option. Bellacor has lots of chandeliers as well. A lot of them are on sale. http://www.bellacor.com/chandeliers.htm I found some cute ones at HD Expo and they are having a sale. However, the only pink ones they have are very expensive (schonbek -- murano glass & swarovski crystal). If you just want a white/silver/crystal ones then you have more options. My little diva only wants pink so I'm more limited :-) Here is a link that might be useful: link

New Pics of Madison AKA The Diva

Yes, I did the flip flops too. I like the one with the flower, too and the one where she's got the mad look on her face. I was trying to snap when she wasn't "posing". The flip flops are easy, just ribbon tied in 3 knots and some tulle that was left over from her 3rd b'day which was "pink". The maraboo in the center was from Hobby Lobby's clearance and it was on a clip like a clip on ear ring. She is growing! That was made by a 10! Susan

The Diva's Tooth Fairy Pillowcase

The "tooth fairy" told me today that she left the tooth in the pocket and took the note, but had to put the 8 quarters under the pillow because Madison rolled ontop of the pocket. Today we were at an indoor craft fair with 600 +/- vendors & saw the little bitty TF pillows, (I guess you hang them on the headboard?) were $10.00. I tried to convice the "TF" that she owed me $10. for my creativity but she wasn't falling for that. One booth had some cute sleep over friend cases that had the Me and My Big Idea Girly Girls painted on them. They were $15.00 each and cute. Susan

I was "so so" about ES Twist and Shout at the nurseries. But when finally got one am amazed by it. Blooms early and then grows fast and reblooms over and over. Astounding performer for us. Compact and those reddish stems are nice contrast. We have 80 kinds of hydranges. H. Twist and Shout won a front door spot. Also H. serrata 'Blue Deckle' is another front door worthy. It looks actually like a serrata macrophylla hybrid.

Oh Joan, what a wonderful visit you had. I just love Emma's serious face. I'm so happy you had such a good time and as socks said, it's best she leaves wanting more. Hope your next visit with her is soon.

I remember when she was born. You posted a picture of her and Barb put it in a pink rose. I thought that was the most beautiful baby picture I had ever seen. Pink is her color. Shes getting to be a big girl now. So cute and still pretty.

Doris, I wish I had that picture. I learned the hard way about making backups of photos. Hard drives and computers can't be trusted.
