Thank you Mona. She is very precious. She is not the only great grand child but she is the youngest. I have 10 greats and one on the way..They are sooo sweet. Much sweeter than their grandparents but don't tell them I said so. Chris, my genes may not be that good but my dh has good JEANS!!!! LOL.. Kathy, I thought that cake looked really good too!! The big one looks better though. I never made or bought 2 cakes for a b'day but it does make some sense. She had one to play in and the guests had one to eat. I think the big one was chocolate ...Yummmm..how I love chocolate...Ellie

She is beautiful Patti. She will be in my town. I must say the picture of the tracks gave me a chill because of a recent tradgedy here where a college student got hit by a train.

Patti-I know how you are feeling.My grandaughter turned 18 yesterday.She was a good student,liked school,was a good basketball player and loved playing and was in the band.Then out of the blue last winter she quit school.Her mom and dad(my son)are divorced and mom,her older brother and DGD had been living with us.Dad was married again to a woman who has a DD a couple of years younger than DGD and had made it clear from the beginning that her DD was the queen of the house and DGD was just the peon so DGD wasn't living there.When we came up here to help youngest DS with the babies,Mom was in a relationship and they all moved out.That is when she decided she didn't want to go to school.She didn't like the guy mom was with either(he WAS a jerk)so that made it harder for her.Anyway,I feel like I let her down by not being there for her.If she had been able to come back and live with us I think we could have kept her in school and things would be different.But,the situation here can't be changed either so I am torn between the little babies that need us here and and the BIG ones at home.LOL Just be in your DG's life as much as possible and do the best you can.That's all anyone can do. Congratulations to your DGD.She will have a lot of wonderful memories from her Graduation Day!
