Hi everyone, I know i sound like a tape recorder but my craftsman 1/2 hp has been working fine for 3 yrs. Not sure what happened to the remotes, but they stopped working. I first tried replacing the batteries but after that didnt work i went out and brought two brand new up to date chamberlain klik3u universal garage remotes. Retail 40 bucks per. They say in the manual they are compatible to my garage opener which was manufactured in 1997. They wont program as well. My garage opens and closes fine. I guess im here to find out if anyone has any other trouble shooting facts to program because the "press the red button like a door bell, hit the button you want programmed" basics isnt working for me. I called chamberlain about the remotes and they basically told me go jump in a lake, all our remotes program fast and easy!!! I need help ppl. Plzzzzz

I have purchased the Keyless entry for that opener (mind you, I live in EDMONTON where it can easily be -30 and no problems, other than ice) - but I cannot make the pad work. I was wondering if you had any advice there, Don, the learn button works, the pad lights up, but after the four numbers, and hitting ENTER, nothing - it does not work. I've replaced the battery, and tried lots of things like using the remotes to set the pad - but still nothing. PLease help - jocky

I have a Chamberlain that i'm upgrading to the MyQ wall panel. I can't get the wall unit to work. I have 2 identical garage doors, 1 works just fine. The second is blowing my mind. Here are the facts: - The old panel works. - New panel LED will not turn on. If I play with the red wire (rub it on the back a bit) it will start the garage door moving, but still won't turn on the LED even for a moment. - I stripped new wires and tried those. Still nothing. But the old panel will still work fine with the new stripped wires. - Chamberlain was very kind and sent a new panel. Same outcome with all the combinations from above. What could possibly be wrong? The other garage door was very easy to change out and has worked just fine. What really gets me is the old wall unit continues to work just fine. Why I need to change it? I don't really, but as I've been automating things in the house, the garage doors are nice to control from my phone. I can set an alarm if they're opened too long (kids forget to close) and if i'm gone I can let someone in without having to send them through the house.

have you tried unplugging the misbehaving unit for a bit and plugging it back in to see if it resets? The continuously blinking light typically indicates vacation mode but if that were the case then your remote should not work at all and the keypad should always work. Do you have to hold the wall button down for the door to close? Have you checked/replaced the batteries in the remote? You're intermittent behavior sounds like it might be a logic board issue. Here's a link to the fault codes (GDO lights blink for error/fault codes). http://www.searspartsdirect.com/garage-door-opener-repair/error-codes/craftsman-garage-door-opener-error-codes.html 2-3 blinks indicates that maybe the wall contol is shorted.
