You may not like to hear this, but HE IS STILL MARRIED TO HER! How you can live with a guy that is married to another woman is none of my business and something YOU need to contend with, but regardless of whether he 'loves' her or not, he is STILL MARRIED. He hasn't divorced her, he hasn't even separated from her... maybe physically, but they remain on everything else together. YOU ARE THE OTHER WOMAN. He is having his cake, and eating it too. If the two of you are that compatible and he's really such a great guy, then why not tell him that you need to do this the RIGHT way. You should not be together until he is capable of being in a committed relationship with only you and he needs to deal with his marriage BEFORE you can be in a relationship with him. What motivation does he have to do anything differently? You are tolerating it, his wife is being taken care of and using guilt to hang on (or at least that is what you are being told) and his kids will ALWAYS see you as the other woman. That is because you are and as long as you are in the picture and he is still legally married to their mother, you will be seen as the reason he is not with their mother, even if there are plenty of other reasons or he would not be with her anyways. He should have ended his marriage before starting a new relationship with anyone. It really isn't fair to you.

ThereâÂÂs a difference between keeping the peace for the sake of the kids, and what your BF is doing. ThereâÂÂs no reason not to introduce you to his family. As you say, there is nothing more exwife can do that she isnâÂÂt already doing. And even if they did have kids together, thatâÂÂs not a reason to allow someone to hold something over your head such as not agreeing to sell the land. There are ways to deal with an ex-wife (such as filing contempt charges if she refuses to sign) that don't involve taking it up the you-know-what from your ex. I understand BF does not want to ruin his credit, hence the reason heâÂÂs still paying the mortgage on the property. But sometimes you have to chew off your foot in order to get out of the trap. I was in the same situation with my exH. Both of our names were on the mortgage even though I was the only paying on it. I could not get a divorce if we were still living together in the same residence. He refused to move out, so I did. I did this even though I I knew there was a chance he would stop paying on the mortgage, ruining both of our credits. Well, thatâÂÂs what happened, but I was willing to sacrifice my credit to get out of the marriage. And I talked to an attorney about it who told me itâÂÂs common course for a personâÂÂs credit to be ruined in a divorce. In this economy people are more forgiving of a less than perfect credit score, and unless your BF needs to buy a house or car in the near future he shouldnâÂÂt worry so much about it. ItâÂÂs been two years since my divorce and you know what my credit score is? 686 - not bad for someone with a foreclosure, right? And how would exwife find out if you were introduced to his family? If she is still in contact with your BF's family that is something else to be concerned about as well.

If you are on friendly terms with his BM, perhaps she could give you a list of specific stress triggers. While you all attend counseling listen carefully to what SS says are his most stressful times to the therapist. You can than discuss (when SS has left the room) ideas and suggestions that will work to get SS through these stress points. My oldest son needed little reminders that were helpful yet nonthreatening to him. For example, yes, taking his pills. I'd just quietly without mentioning anything set his morning pill on placemat next to his glass of drink at the breakfast table. This way he was reminded, yet I didn't have to say a word. Alot of the forgeting 'out of sight, out of mind' can be assisted without putting a child (in his mind) on the spot. You might try setting the can of cat food out just before cat feeding time in plain sight to naturally be seen provoking a 'oh, yeah, kitty it's time to eat' response. You never said a word, did not verbally have to 'remind' and therefore make it feel like it was not his idea nor that he forgot to do something. Frankly, while it took willpower, I never 'confronted' my son during the heat of the moment. It would lead to son escalating the situation. There was time to discuss it when things returned to queit and 'normal'. In otherwords, I had to train myself to know when to approach the subject and when to let the situation defuse until I could seriously have a discussion when I knew it would be most beneficial (actually get through and not seen confrontational) and I'd have his calm attention. All kids are different and not all things work for one child with ADHD that is helpful in dealing with another child with ADHD. My son was ADD and did not have the other parts of what your SS is dealing with. Keeping that in mind, your struggles will have to perhaps be dealt in different manners than what worked for me. The important thing for me was to always remember he was not deliberately trying to ignore house rules and/or do household assignments. It was just as important for me to learn when he was deliberately slacking off. It gets easier to know the difference and I think you'll adjust and figure out when is when. You're going through a huge adjustment in your home, just as he is going to adjustments being in your home. You can't expect it to all go perfectly and you're bound to make mistakes and have some better days than other days. It's not going to come together instantly, but you have a good attitude towards what is going on with him and that will make a huge difference in results.

Sorry to add another worry but if he's cutting on site, make sure either all your drawer guides are removed or else covered in plastic and taped up before they start until after they are done cleaning up and make sure cleanup is good. Granite dust plays havoc with the glider lubricant. There have been people on this forum who needed new glides after granite install.
