Trails or pathways. :)

I have two, but it looks to be a promising subject.

My granddog, Bo. A MinPin from a rescue center in NYC. But he didn't tolerate young children so my kids flew him from Tokyo to San Francisco and took him to his forever home up in the mountains. He is happy here. But we all miss him.

Very imaginative, people. Crunchpa, leave it to you to come up with a zebra! Ron, I've said it before, but I love your lath house. Kate, no wonder you came up with this theme. That's the stripiest picture! I'm a little dizzy from all these stripes, but let me see what I can find...... Okay, I see stripes on the face of this sunflower, don't you? Stripes, sort of. Sky stripes. Caterpillar stripes. Shadow stripes.

I've been out of town for a while. Started to comment on each pic, but, they are all just great. No "fresh" fall pics here yet. I was in Philly where I could have gotten some great ones... if about a week or 10 days later. Most have seen my fall pics from earlier years, so, I'll just have to post to this thread when I have some "fall". I sure do appreciate getting some from those who are already enjoying it at their locales. Keep'em coming!

RC, I think you cheated on your own thread. I think that first picture is actually the collapsed lemon meringue pie I attempted in 1983. :-) Love the fiddler crab!! It brings back so many wonderful memories of growing up on the shores of Long Island. Susan who has been landlocked and sandless for over 30 years now

Yes, excellent idea! Here's two from my late cousin Terry's garden. I'm going up there to photograph it again next weekend.

Sometimes paths are made of grass....

Or stone...

I love the pictures and the theme!
La Purisima Mission, my favorite California mission. Since it is a California State Park, it is scheduled to be closed within the next few months. Another historic site hit by California's budget cuts. It makes me sad.

How did I forget about this one? A long uphill path to a very old, overgrown cemetery. (Photographed from the top looking down.)

Ron, in reviewing this thread, and your rock pic, can you state "no one was injured in the taking of this picture"?!

I'm loving all the photos! I especially like the wooded paths and the snow (of course).

A little off topic:
My 9 year old computer is showing it's age, so I got a new one yesterday! I got a laptop and now have to load all my photos. :) This one is much faster, quieter, smaller, and half the cost I paid on the first. I can now watch my videos and youtube. Also nice to be able to post photos faster and withought restarting the CP. :)

RC, So far no one has been injured on that stretch of trail. Actually, it shouldn't even be called a trail. It's just a route I've taken backpacking to get up into this high, remote valley. That picture was taken last year when we camped down below and went up it for a day hike. This year we took our packs (35 to 40 lbs.) up it and camped for 2 days above this area.

Sounds like fun Ron... at least for the survivors. ;)

Certainly some ruggedly beautiful country. Thanks for sharing it with us.
