Another Computer Question

I used to have a little star thingy on the left side of my screen on Yahoo that I could click on to see all my Favorites. I was on Google for a while, and when I came back to the Yahoo screen, it was gone & I can't find it now. My favorites are still there at the top under the word Favorites but the little star thingy was so handy & now I don't have it. Can anyone help me find it again or is it lost forever? I asked a guy in the office here & he said he normally would look under standard in the toolbar but I didn't have a standard setting. Hope someone can help me. You guys are so computer savvy. :-(

I found out I can go into "View", then "Explorer" & it comes back but doesn't stay there & cuts off my screen. Rats! I thought I figured it out. Wrong! I hate this when I do something & can't figure out how I can undo it. So frustrating. I shouldn't have done something but I don't know what.

I'm thinking it's still there, but you're not able to see all of the toolbar. Whatever toolbar it shows up on (I think the Standard Toolbar), drag it down from the anchored spot so you can see the whole thing. Then, reposition your little star so its in the viewing area when you re-anchor the toolbar.

I find it easiest to do this by setting up a network, if necessary, simply using a crossover cable to connect the two computers. Then create a share on one computer and copy from the other. The thumb drive works as long as you don't have too much data, but it can get tiresome with a lot of data. Another option is an external hard drive (good to have for regular backups, anyway). There are also programs (some with additional hardware like USB cables or crossover network cables) that will simplify this. Some will even transfer programs and settings without requiring the programs to be reinstalled. I've never done programs this way, but my dad use something called the Tornado that included a transfer cable and simplified the process for him.

Thank you, Pooh! I am, now, able to connect to the internet. I can browse...but when I try to play games on yahoo, register for email, on yahoo and hotmail....I consistently receive "page cannot be displayed! Your thoughts...any questions???

you can change fonts in your browser, for example in firefox you would click Tools at the top then options then under the content tab you have the option to change font type size and colors. Which browser do you use? I don't use IE but it would be easy to look up, I think it may be under internet options.

Thanks, Mallory. I got the Favorites list back (somehow - I don't know how :-) ) & a guy who's a computer whiz got my yahoo screen back the way it was. Yesssss!! I panic when I do stupid stuff & don't know what caused it.
