My pulls vary on the uppers, from a 3" bunny head to a 5" bar pull. Some just have fat knobs. I personally don't like the look (unless it's a really modern kitchen) of long bar pulls on the upper cabinets. It's not like you need to grab several inches to open the door. My cabinets are shaker (modified style but close) and go up to the ceiling. The pulls I have are bulky but not super long (which would look awful with the other pulls in my kitchen).

I have the same pulls on all cabinets and drawers in my kitchen and I like it that way. My drawers vary from narrow to 36" wide. They all get one pull, and it is 5.25" wide. It's a good width- think "Goldilocks" - not too long, not too short, just right!

Typically pulls/knobs manufacturers won't make both an 8" and 9" size so you won't likely be able to have both in the same style. Look at the pulls you like and see if they come in either of those two sizes. I usually feel that pull sizes should vary in the kitchen with the size of the drawers, but that is more if the drawers are quite different in widths. Your drawers are not so the pulls can be the same size. A good trick is to make aluminum foil pulls in the sizes you are looking at, and hold them up against the drawers. That will help you see which size works best.

I live not far from Rejuvenation and have shopped there for many years for both of my houses (1912 and 1922 era homes), before they were bought out by Pottery Barn or whatever large company bought them. About the only things I've bought from them recently are switch plate covers (back when they still carried a thicker version) and some porch lights that they had on clearance that match the current ones I have on my wrap around porch. I've looked at their hardware. I've felt it - it's not as good as it once was, in my opinion. It is perfectly good quality - don't get me wrong - but in my opinion something was lost along the way when the company was sold many years ago. Note that it's just my opinion. They do have quality stuff. Consider ordering one set before buying a whole kitchen's worth, just to make sure you're going to be happy with the hardware. I've looked at House of Antique Hardware and Wayfair and everything in between. It's all a bit better than the big box stores, but otherwise pretty equal in quality. Consider shopping around. (I'm going with Forge arch pulls by Hickory Hardware through Wayfair for my White shaker cabinets)
