Sony DSC-H1 flash off/on?

Dumb question but .... while on vacation we had the flash turned off through the menue. Now I can't find the flash off/on in the menue. How do I get back to on?

I've never turned my flash off through the menu. I just use the Control Button (the one that has the lightening symbol).

Yes, I do too but......DH thought this was a better way, This is a new camera and he was suppose to learn how to use it.
If you have the same camera have you seen this in the menu?
I'm sure it can be turned back on if I can find the right screen. I might have to call Sony or take it to someone.

Konrad- I'm slowly developing my own little mixed fruit orchard and for whatever reason I didn't have much interest in apples. You and you're incredible photos have single handedly changed my mind....who wouldn't be thrilled to have trees filled with large, beautiful, dense fruit like yours?!?! gmom74. We always called them flags too. I just looked them up in the dictionary and it says it's a type of iris or cattail. There were streams that run through the property where we lived years ago and I used to go there in the summer. The blue flags grew there and cattail. I saw dragonflies too. The Sony DSC-H1 doesn't have interchangeable lenses. It has x12 optical, image stabilized lens. Maggie..I've never seen a way to turn the flash on/off in the menu. I haven't had my camera very long. I do know that Joan_MN use to have this camera, so maybe she knows.

Boy, I didn't think there was any way except the button/lightning bolt, either.
Time to read the manual!

Thanks for the advice, I emailed Sony and they helped me . It is back on . Good lesson learned.

Wish I knew how,because i haven't been able to turn mine off for some reason...Grrrrrrrrrrr

Sorry, I can't find that menu flash off/on either. Hubby did it. He showed it to me so I thought that was good too, but now I can't find it. I'm not sure if that was the wise way to go. It was in the "set-up" menu so am thinking it is still off. It was nice not to have to remember to always do it with the contro button. However.....to get it back on I had to go through the settings using the contro button. Personally....I wouldn't recomend going through the menu. In some settings the flash won't go on (read booklet)(read me first) but at least now I do have a flash. Love the camera but We'll just use the "auto" from now on.
