hey all, I am just glad I am not the guy that drank the guys drink roflmao I don't know why I only ended up with ONE star hibiscus. I planted so many seeds at the winter sowing. So many had shared the seeds with me and I hope I can pass it on to others. Yupp I just got done watering too a few minutes ago. But while I water, I also do a touch, talk and cleaning up of most plants lol. Brenda good thought...not long and it will be Halloween again. I don't know if I got the bloom wet in the morning when I first sprayed the leaves down. But a few pedals were a little deformed. I still loved it because it was my FIRST :-) Lucy

Melissa, What on earth are you going to do when all those plants of your's grow? I am smiling. May consider saving some energy for the voles. If you have 'Gemini Moon' you probably don't need either. I have held off on both. I have seen spring burn on 'Velvet Moon' quite often in different gardens. It also depends on the year how much there will be; sometimes a fair amount to just a little. The 'Moon Split' picture I seen, showed a considerable amount of spring burn. I am assuming all the babies were propagated from the one picture I seen. Like Mother, like daughter. The picture w/ all the 'Moon Splits' shows considerable variation from plant to plant and leaf to leaf. The green margin seems extremely wide in most to produce a replica of 'Moon Split'. It is going to depend on how long they have been grown and sorted by the final grower. I would be surprised to see the green margin shrink in size to get the narrow green margin and the wide yellow margin as shown. As we all know, the green has the vigor. I think some will get lucky to get 'Moon Split' and some will end up w/ 'Velvet Moon'. I have not noticed spring burn on 'Gemini Moon'. Seems to me, your previous list had both anyway? I also had a dog who loved to be vacuumed. I did it regularly when he was blowing a coat-- didnt eliminate the need to regularly vacuum the house but it helped. My other dog wanted n-o-t-h-i-n-g to do with the vacuum lol. A friend of mine who had a dry yard used to keep a container of baby wipes at the back door. He'd swipe their faces, paws and back as part of his greeting to them coming back into the house. Personally, I'd try a combination of the two suggestions of vacuum/wet cloth. Brushing isn't going to remove the dust as much as displace it. Vacuuming-- even once or twice a day (with a portable!) will at least reduce the amount of dust. Wet wipe/towel will do the same. I am sure there are lots of sources of the dust in your house-- so a strategy of reducing it is the best you can do. I empathize. I live on a semi-busy road that kicks up a lot of dust. I complain regularly and I am sure my dust doesn't begin to approach what youre experiencing.
