No, I can't tell you anything about the camera, but I was wondering how your finger was doing?
Leslie

Hi Leslie...

the finger still isn't healed. It wasn't a very long cut, but it was really deep...It is beginning to close. I was afraid the "flap" of skin would die and I'd grow a big lumpy scar right there.

I still keep it wrapped in a Bandaid. Just to keep it from catching on something and opening it again.

Still hurts if I bump it.

This time next week I will probably have forgotten it.

thanks for asking....

did ya find your keys?

patti

No, I'm still looking for them. I'm going to send an e-mail to the airport in Ontario, CA. Maybe they jiggled out of my purse when I sent it through the metal detector.

Storm just blew thru here. Very humid, now it's nice nice nice!

I guess we have some hot air around here, for it's disposed of most of the snow that we got a couple of days ago ...

... but there's residue from the time before still hanging around.

I made the first trip to town in about three weeks, yesterday - so it was more or less a red-letter day.

ole joyful

It's 30 degrees outside.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the Stylist has much of a zoom. My first digital camera was an Olympus super-zoom with 3.2 MP. I still use it sometimes. It takes awesome pictures, and I have some enlarged to 8x10 and framed. Megapixels aren't everything.

My second was an Olympus, too, and my third a Panasonic super-zoom. Love them all. I mostly use the Pansonic, but I wouldn't hesitate to get another Olympus.

"Good spring weather?" What's that??

It is so nice out right now - I hope the wind stays down!

Is the camera the Olympus C-60?

I will attach areview - Steve's Digicams and DP Review are both two great places to research digital cameras.

If it is the C60 - that is an older camera - 2004? New cameras have a much faster sensor and take pictures much faster - but $65 isn't a bad price. Short zoom 3X, but that is pretty normal on the smaller cameras.

DD has an older Olympus Stylus Verve - and it takes great pictures. Slow sensor though, so she gets a lot of blurry ones - but the ones that turn out are great!

I would offer them about half of what they are asking.

FYI - You can buy some super nice Canon cameras with fast sensors that take GREAT video for around $150. These are brand new.

I don't know anything about cameras so I can't help you either.

Yes, I've been MIA - posting more on the diet forum these days because I need to keep my head working on my goals. It's very slow going because I'm on my final phase this year. Next year will be maintenance and damage control for any weight gained afterwards.

Busy with spring cleaning and finally starting to house paint and do minor surface repairs. This house really needs it. I don't want to waste a second of precious garden time when the snow finally melts indoors...so I'm doing my best right now to get the painting done. The walls are so dry they sucking up 2-3 base coats before an even colour shows. Sure perks my mood up seeing the results. And it keeps me from wanting to munch on food.

Last night we had a very dear friend visit - she's going through a rough patch right now. Always glad to be with her. We have to look out for each other and take care. Friendships from youth are precious in this fast world and should be nurtured all the time.

Gotta get dressed for a walk to enjoy some of this sun and water my seedlings too before tackling another wall.

Have a great day everyone! I may be MIA but you are in my thoughts!

Cheers,
McPeg

Spring weather?
Yeah, we had it/have it but it's not 'good'.
There's six inches on the ground and more coming.

LOL

Typical weather for around here.
We got really spoiled during the drought; mild winters, early springs, open falls....no water.
LOL
We'll have lots of water this year.
Right now we're earning it.

I used to use Olympus point and shoot cameras and I LOVED them. If the digital Olympus' are as good as the 35mm they are great! I hope this one is good and all works out for you! When you go see the guy shoot lots of photos; inside and out and try out all the features so you know it works.

Good luck!

Lori

As Alisande said, Megapixels aren't everything. I am on my second digital, and it's megapixels are lower than my first, but the picture quality is much nicer - plus it takes better closeups, 3x optical zoom has been great for me except when I was trying to take pictures of the Lunar Eclipse..lol.
I stick with Kodak EasyShare - they are reliable, very user friendly, and have never had a problem with either of the two I have.
