I'm stuck at home with pneumonia for another 4 days. Do you have any movie suggestions?

What types of movies do you like? I saw a few recently that I have really liked:

Australia: I saw it last night. It is really interesting and has a storyline about the "Stolen Generation" in Australia in the 30's. Another really interesting story about the Stolen Generation is "Rabbit Proof Fence" It is based on a true story and the real people were shown at the end. It was very powerful and brought to light an era that I didn't know anything about.

Charlotte Gray: A Scottish woman in WW2 goes to France as an undercover agent and ends up harboring/helping 2 Jewish boys hide from the Germans.

Saw: I usually don't like horror movies, but it had a very clever story and wasn't as gory as I had expected it to be.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: A wanna-be actor follows a detective around and gets caught up in a murder case. Robert Downey Jr and Val Kilmer both star in this comedic spy movie. I was very pleasantly surprised.

That's all I can think of right now. I hope you can find something you like.

Funny on the Gardening Blog - www.gardenrant.com there was a recent posting on gardening movies. They talked about a movie starring Jude Law called 'Breaking and Entering' about a landscape architect. I haven't seen the movie so I can't recommend...but thinking about this topic there aren't too many movies I can think of directly related to gardening. For beautiful scenary: - Lord of the Rings movies (New Zealand) - Whale Rider (New Zealand) - Out of Africa (loved the scenary in this movie on the big screen so many years ago...) - Lost TV show, Jurassic Park movies - Oahu Seeing New Zealand on the big screen is neat after having traveled there! The ones on my iPod now: Saturday Night Fever, Pippin (oops--not a movie, a play), 1776, Hello Dolly, Return to Me (Dean Martin sings some tunes), Runaway Bride, Thelma & Louise, Peter's Friends, Oklahoma. I also like the soundtrack for "Much Ado About Nothing," the movie version that Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington and Kenneth Branagh are in. (The music for the scene in which Denzel and Keanu Reeves and the other horsemen are approaching the village -- terrific.)

I'm baaaaccccckkkkk! The surgery went very smoothly and I actually feel pretty darn good. I am happy to report that the doc found no problems with the ovaries so they got to stay. The only time I've felt "pain" was Tuesday, just after surgery. They hooked me up to the pain pump and that was the end of it. I am now doing the oral narcotics and they have it all under control nicely. I have to say that it's soooo good to be back home! My skin crawls with the narcotics so having my own (cotton) sheets, pj's, towels, etc. makes all the difference in the world. So, all I can say at this point is that things are going very well, and it really was not all that bad after all :) I'm still very tired, though, so I'll have to settle in with a movie--I'm quite sure I'll fall asleep watching it, but that is just fine! Thanks again for your encouragement and advice--you guys have been super! I hope you are all having a terrific Thanksgiving day!

Did Phyllis Diller die? I don't think so. I've never read Nora Roberts, but now I'm curious. Other than what's his name that wrote "The Firm" (drawing a blank) I've never read crime dramas. I usually go for funny and day-in-the-life type stories. I think Mariska Hargitay would look like she could eat Colin Farrell up, he's kind of a twerp. Jennifer Garner kicked butt in Alias, she's really good at the tough (pretty) girl thing. Jennifer Esposito would be really good as a pretty - tough girl but I want her to play Stephanie Plum so you can't have her.

The Secret Life of Bees is really good.

If you haven't seen it, Persuit of Happiness is a great movie.

We just saw The Express: The Ernie Davis Story, about the first black college football player to win the Heisman trophy. Loved it.

I enjoyed "Nights in Rodanthe" - Richard Gere & Debra lane. I watched it 2-3 times

i've gotten on a action kick and watched the shooter, hitman, and shoot'em up....finally saw the golden compass today...the computer animals are awesome...27 dresses was cute...

also saw it happen one night...clark gable ruined the undershirt industry in that one, lol...
