You can tell that the author of that poem didn't live where the temps were over 100 and the humidity was waaaayy up there. That's a lovely poem, but it's hard to grasp such a view of Summer when you are dripping with sweat.

Its absolutely amazing the differences in results because of our zones. I have the complete opposite of you guys. My Jades colors are the best during the late fall/ winter months, when our temps cool down at night. In my case I lose almost all my color, and like littlebird's jades they lose almost all their red tips and yellows and becomes mostly green starting early summer. Best I could come up with is our night time low's are in the mid to upper 70's.I have them in full sun 6-8 hours a day,and I water them only when they are dry. So I know that's not the problem. Come late fall(Nov.), when our night time temps starts dipping in the 50's is when I start to see the beautiful colors begin to peak and by winter it it is the prettiest. I do leave mine outside almost all year, except for the rare freeze(2-4) days a year. Good luck with your jade littlebird...Please give us an update when you get your colors back.

I thought it looked like FB too, but the leaves seem to be longer a narrower that my FB's. Maybe it's because they're older. The tag that was stapled to the pot looks totaly different than the plant. I'd take a picture of the tag, but I've used up all of my batteries taking pictures of hostas! When I get new batteries I'll post the tag. Thanks for the input.

oooooh-weeeee - these are beautiful we've got so much light pollution, we'll never have a view like that - every time i drive home to east texas in the evening, one of the first things is pull off the road & ogle the stars
