Made minor adjustments....I don't usually post this big...but was so excited how these turned out...had hard time deciding which one to show in the big one...Hope D-U users...you don't mind...

Juanita, those are really nice photos. I love your garden. The cosmos with the hazy background is a great shot. (Next year I going to try some of those old fashioned annuals in my garden.)

What's the tall plant with reddish leaves in the last photo?

Thanks Bean...It was just breathtaking that morning with the sun coming down and thru, all dewy, and foggy...I was surprised they turned out...I didn't know if it had anything to do with lowering the image quality or shutter priority mode which I have been practicing alot with...I've tried to capture these kind pics before and always looked unreal bluish mist-fog...anyhow...

those reddish plants are 'Intense Purple' amaranth...they are prolific reseeders...I don't mind though cos with those kind of reseeders I can just pluck where I don't want and sometimes it makes up for those that didn't come thru...If you (or anybody else) would like I can save some seeds...and the cosmos are Sensation Picotee, 1st time trying this particular one...but they are just beautiful colored flowers...

Very nice pictures everyone. I didn't even try to find red white and blue but its the theme of the day. The of July is a big deal here on my street each year as the local fireworks are at the beach and park across the street each year. Its a mad house here from late afternoon on until the park clears out after the fireworks. There is music in the park each year all afternoon and evening until fireworks time. I can't ever remember it all being cancelled due to bad weather, guess weather has just run lucky.

Pauline, thank you so much for hosting! I had a good time and took home many wonderful plants. I have been busy and have not been online or done planting. Yes, I'll bring eggs. Who has a young boy? I found the following Chinese Master Sauce Braised Beef Recipe online: http://www.dinnertool.com/recipe/view/33137/Chinese-Master-Sauce-Braised-Beef It is pretty close to my recipe, except I would use rock sugar (raw sugar crystals)instead of regular sugar, rice wine instead of Scotch whisky or dry sherry, and add: 1 cup dark soy sauce 2 T star anise 1 T Sichuan pepper You can buy all of the ingredients in most Asian stores. You can use this recipe for any meat (e.g. chicken and pork) and peeled hard boil eggs. Happy cooking!

Amazing !. Your Garden looks so much like home (In Puerto Rico). My grandmother Loved tropical plants and she was constantly planting all kinds of stuff. Great job and im sure next year everything will grow even more.

I love the first one the most. The dew drops hanging from the cosmos (I LOVE cosmos), and the lighting is just perfect. You got a wonderful batch of photos. Wouldn't they be nice, framed and grouped together?
