Sharon I am doing 4 Baby Bud 12" flower blocks in the middle and then outlining them in 8" Granny Square quilt blocks that will be mostly pink and purples, so 40" x 40" finished size. The backing will be the same green fabric as is used on the Baby Bud. I have not decided what fabric I am using for the binding, it'll either be WOW or the green used for the backing. I love pinks and purples so am having a lot of fun with this quilt! I have never made a baby quilt for a girl before, my family and friends have all had boys in the past. So it's really nice to make a girly quilt. I've written a crochet pattern for bookmarks so will just modify the length of it and use it to make a crocheted lace edging for this quilt. In the past I have made crocheted lace edgings for pillowcases so I know it will wash and dry same as the quilt without shrinkage. So this is a really fun project for me getting to do the 2 things I love most quilting and crocheting and I get to work with the color pink! :-) Best to you, Sandra This post was edited by quiltingfox on Wed, Apr 10, 13 at 16:49

I was at TJMaxx/Homegoods yesterday, and that mustache motif was printed on lots of stuff. I think it's vile, and have seen it semi-adopted by teenagers around here, who seem to view it ironically. I wonder if it originated in some anime show or something on-line. When my teenage style expert gets herself out of bed, I will ask, and will post any insights. I've been collecting little bird figurines and bird printed fabrics most of my life. The only impact the trend has had is that it's much easier to find things now, and it looks as if I'm trying to be trendy with my birds all over the place, but I'm not. I also have a sunburst mirror in my living room, which I bought over 20 years ago in an antique store. The problem with them being so ubiquitous now is that the next step is for them to become passe, and I love my mirror. I'm not ever taking it down. I saw a fiddleleaf fern in a blog, and was going to buy one, but not now.

Have you talked to your electrician/contractor about putting them on a timer instead? I would imagine you will have some sort of home control system in a new house? I also implore you to make sure you realize you cannot just use an LED bulb...........it has to be integrated. https://www.lampsplus.com/products/westray-11-and-one-half-inchh-black-motion-sensor-led-outdoor-wall-light__7k617.html#productDetailsSection Also as someone who has played this game of code compliance...........you can always put up cheap fixtures to pass code, then replace with fixtures you really like. that includes using something with a fluorescent just to keep the cost down. IDK what part of CA you are in but in most cases, anything within 10 miles of the ocean should look to brass or copper fixtures for longevity. I would think to put up the ones you found on sides and back as well and then you can (im pretty sure) have a company like Arroyo C. put in the photocell/ d/d sensors. Also I have personally installed both for customers before. Go to a lighting showroom, and ask about ADL parts book PS screw-in sensors will not pass code, the idea is that you cannot change it out after they leave so they want ti to be something that is built into the fixture.

After my recent experience with Maiden, I do not believe all of the positive reviews. There are price discrepancies for the sectional I want to order and their customer service team was rude and talked over me when I tried to explain that there are 3 different prices being quoted for the exact same item! I was told its a website “glitch” and that the actual price of the sofa I want is more than what the website shows. Website shows $5425. By text customer service told me more than once it’s actually $5500 list price and by phone/email yet another customer service rep told me its even more- $5550! I told her i don’t trust these seemingly arbitrary price discrepancies and she said the higher price IS the price, doesnt matter what the website says or the other customer service rep says- the highest price stands, take it or leave it. If they can’t even get their story straight on the pricing, how are they gojng to get my order right? if they seem to just change their oricing arbitrailty and not honor whats written on their website- why would I trust that they are going to honor ANY of the written policies or product information on their website. Seems like they put out false information and then cal it a ”glitch” and the customer is the one who suffers for it. The difference in price won’t break me, its a few hundred- but the principle of it and the poor customer service make me wary of Maiden. Seems like an Untrustworthy company!
