Any one have experience with Maiden Home sectionals?

I have been on a major search for the “perfect” sectional for my house since buying the home 12 years ago. I have gone through 5 sofas in that time, one Crate and Barrel Huntley sectional, Pottery Barn PB Basic soda, another Pottery barn sectional with basket weave fabric (pilled horribly in a few weeks’ time, a sectional from Macy’s (frame broke under the weight of a 103 pound friend ,no joke, one month into owning it), and Bernhardt sofas from Mathis Brothers. I’ve read many bad reviews avout various PB fabrics and one really positive review about their “Performance everyday linen” by Crypton. I just recently came across Maiden Home and would love to hear of anyone’s experiences with the comfort, quality, and longevity of them. I am interested in The Warren in a 3, corner, 2 configuration. I have a Pomeranian, a 5 year old, and a sweaty husband who all love to eat and lie down on our sofas. It looks promising and is a good price point but I’m hesitant as you can’t see in person or sit on. I am open to other brands as long as they are fairly transitional in style and will put up with all the use (Read: abuse) my family will throw its way. Must be comfortable, not too deep, hold its shape, and clean up easily, and last 10 years. Would like to stay under $5k. Not sure if this exists/is possible, it’s starting to feel like a quest for a four leaf clover. Thanks in advance!

I have the Warren with a right chaise in creme performance linen and I couldn't be happier. I also have a seven year old boy, a golden retriever and a messy husband but stains really do wipe straight off. I was in a total agony of indecision. I did crazy amounts of research and visited every store I could think of that sold sofas. I'd seen the Warren and read about it but I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on something that I'd never seen in real life or sat on. I am very, very picky but I absolutely love this sofa. It is super comfortable, looks really "clean" and stylish and the fabric is very high quality. The service from Maiden Home is like the four seasons of the furniture world. All in all I have found the sofa itself and the service to be impeccable. Plus the price is pretty amazing when you look at other sofas that are this quality.

Hi Judith, We are also looking at the Warren. Do you find the back low? I am 5'4", so not really an issue, but my husband is almost 6'4" and I wonder if it would feel too short for him. We also have 3 large dogs, so a tough, performance fabric is a must for us! Thanks!

Well, I went with a solid brick raised terrace rather than piered decking so there wouldn't be a drainage problem against the house foundation. I suppose the latticing you plan can be backed by screening but if they're determined, they'll hang their nests under your deck stairs. Houses have landscaping and lights that attract bugs and spiders which are handy food for wasp larva. The bug bomb under the deck sounds like the easiest solution. On the deck at my other house I had the guys install a collar of two boards wide, parallel to the foundation and attached with easy to remove screws. This way, when it's time for termite treatments it is easy to get that treatment right there at the foundation in an area that seems always moist and shaded..a termite favorite.

A lot of low vs high back depends on how you plan to use the sofa. I currently have a low backed sofa but we have a high mounted TV. i am 5’7” and my husband is 5’10”. we both have to put throw pillows behind our heads (that rest against the wall behid the sofa) when we watch TV. if we didn’t have the sofa right up against the wall we wouldn’t even be able to do that. but we also have a club chair with a high back cushion which is perfect for Tv watching without a throw pillow. The chair has a seat hight of 18” and with the back cushion, the overall hight is 35” (or so, sometimes measures 36”). if you want a sofa for a living room where the main use will be socializing and conversation and not a lot of heavy ”lounging” (unless you are lying down), or will have it right up against a window, then a low back is fine (and preferable with the window).

Anyone pulled the trigger on the Warren? I’m currently agonizing on a new sectional sofa since the brand new one that I have now is so ungodly uncomfortable that we are avoiding the room all together. Having no option to find the store and sit on these I am quite nervous but some reviews are so stellar I’m considering it. Also looking at the metro deep from room and board, I love the west elm Haven because it has a bumper style chaise but I know their furniture is kind of garbage.

After my recent experience with Maiden, I do not believe all of the positive reviews. There are price discrepancies for the sectional I want to order and their customer service team was rude and talked over me when I tried to explain that there are 3 different prices being quoted for the exact same item! I was told its a website “glitch” and that the actual price of the sofa I want is more than what the website shows. Website shows $5425. By text customer service told me more than once it’s actually $5500 list price and by phone/email yet another customer service rep told me its even more- $5550! I told her i don’t trust these seemingly arbitrary price discrepancies and she said the higher price IS the price, doesnt matter what the website says or the other customer service rep says- the highest price stands, take it or leave it.

If they can’t even get their story straight on the pricing, how are they gojng to get my order right? if they seem to just change their oricing arbitrailty and not honor whats written on their website- why would I trust that they are going to honor ANY of the written policies or product information on their website. Seems like they put out false information and then cal it a ”glitch” and the customer is the one who suffers for it. The difference in price won’t break me, its a few hundred- but the principle of it and the poor customer service make me wary of Maiden. Seems like an Untrustworthy company!

i've had a great experience with maiden and the design service team in particular. we have the jones (6 pieces)- its the perfect mix for us of sink in comfort with not being sloppy or too soft. incredibly impressed with the quality of the modular pieces and love that get to talk to a real person who picked up right away on the other side when we had to delay our delivery last minute - the company didn't charge us for the last minute change either which i appreciated.
